Absolutely appalling. I called in to get a hot chocolate with my daughter and was ?greeted? with a grunt by the boy on the till and served 2 hot chocolates and a chocolate cake. The hot chocolate was lukewarm and the cake was very stale. I stood ignored in the queue for a few of a few minutes with a restless toddler before making my way to the front to ask if I could change the cake. I was offered the same dry cake again so I asked if I could swap for a chocolate muffin. The muffin was equally dry and I wasn?t even offered the £1 difference ( the cake was £3.80 and the muffin was £2.80.not one person apologised. The soft furnishings were also filthy.

The customer service of the gentleman wearing a trainee T shirt today was OUTSTANDING and his team at the till were also very good. GOOD OLD FASHIONED CUSTOMER SERVICE BY SOMEONE WHO REALLY CARED.... VERY WELL DONE, AND KEEP BEING YOU.... It was lovely to see and fast becoming a dying skill ..... watch and learn everyone! ???

Only Cafe Nero I've been in that's not Dog friendly. Travel all over UK and never been refused until now. Staff say that's because it's in a Next store and it's a Next rule. They watched me walk in, take my coat off and when I got to till told me " No Dogs". Maybe a sign in window would help? Will try others in York to see if this is a "York thing".

We have been visiting this particular branch for many years with our lovely cockapoo Betsy. But today, we were refused entry by a very official young lady, saying dogs are not allowed. I said to her but we've always been coming here with Betsy, but she just reiterated that dogs are not allowed and asked us to leave. We were so disappointed as we had been travelling for several hours and were so looking forward to a lovely coffee. We have never witnessed any incidents with dogs in any of the Nero branches, just very rude customers at times. People and staff have always made a fuss of Betsy so just can't understand what s changed. Won't be visiting there again or the Next branch.

Always enjoy a light bite and a Cappuccino for me and the missus. Though, it was my turn to pay. Boo Hoo!Coffee always good, followed by something chocolatey. Just the treat to enjoy!

We went to caffeine Nero but it was over the Christmas period my gran had to sit down and I got the coffees but I waited 20 mins for them and there was only a few seats left the food is overly priced and I wanted one of the festival hot chocolates but they only came in one size which put me off my gran also said that the coffee was only hot not boilingParking: Lots of parking, even disabled parkingKid-friendliness: There are kid friendly drinks and food
