We come to York quite regularly and this the 1st place we stop at for coffee & a nibble x
Today we took my son for the 1st time and were blown away by the amazing customer service. The lady brought out a selection of board games for us to play while we waited for our order which we all enjoyed playing,
She couldn?t do enough for us absolutely recommend this cafe to everyone looking for a lovely cafe with gorgeous food, beautiful cakes, delicious coffee and amazing customer experience x

Found this lovely gem of a cafe and dog friendly. Cappuccino's, Coffee Cake and Cherry Cake which were scrumptious ?
Friendly staff more than welcoming and local. Will return on our next visit to York.

What a wonderful little hidden gem, the best coffee and walnut cake I've ever had. And a very delicious iced mocha to go with it!

Super friendly café offering simple food and great coffee. The ladies serving really care and foster a community spirit whilst delivering lovely food. I regularly return for their jacket potatoes.

Had high expectations. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Slightly underwhelmed by food quality relative to price but otherwise a pleasant place to visit. Can be busy, we had to wait 30 minutes for a table inside, although understandable for a Summer Saturday.

Literally the most loveliest staff team ever! We came for breakfast, and we (including our dog) were welcomed with big smiles. The breakfast was amazing and the team were clued up on gluten free needs which is so good to see. Also one of the best dirty chai teas I?ve ever had! The whole team, including the chef who popped out into the dining area, were incredibly attentive and friendly and it really did make a lovely atmosphere. Even our pooch who had his own little spot in the corner was waited on with water and biscuits. 100% would recommend and will definitely go again when next visiting York.

Bruks had been recommended by a friend and it exceeded expectations. Incredible service, so friendly and amazing with my two children, and such good value! My children gave it 1000 out of 5! We'll be back!

Absolutely fantastic!
Came here as a solo traveller and the waitress was very kind to me, my order was taken in a very reasonable time frame and they accommodated me so well on a busy day.
Ordered the English Breakfast, took a bite of the mushrooms and almost cried because it tasted just how my mum used to make it when I was little!! Superb and would definitely come again :)

What a hidden gem this place is. Amazing food, and even better service.
We went in here today to escape the rain with two very wet cocker spaniels and a hangry 1 year old. The staff were amazing and seated us straight away even though we must of looked like drowned rats ?. The staff were great with my daughter bringing her some toys out to play with, They even grabbed my little one slices of cucumber and a babyccino to match her mummy.
I wish I could give more than 5stars, highly recommend for parents with little ones and dog owners!

Lovely quiet spot tucked away from the busy streets. The caramel slice and cheese scone were delicious, and the staff were very friendly. We?ll definitely be back!

Great place off the beaten path to have a coffee or breakfast. Or a slice of cake. They also welcome pets. The lunch we had delicious.
