We've had to change pharmacies because of the staff at boots on tang hall lane. They refused to take in a prescription and lied to the gp saying we could order it directly from the supplier, and they would deliver it. I rang the supplier and they confirmed that this was not true. As a result, a necessary medication was missed for over a month. I've also heard staff at boots discussing customers in a negative way. I think there is a general entitlement and lack of work ethic amongst the staff at boots on tang hall lane.

Rude and not helpful

Staff at this pharmacy never answer the phone. Meaning a disabled person has to travel with servere mobility issues to finally get to the chemist to be told you can?t have medicine for a week because we can?t be bothered to do our job. They claim they don?t have stock but after I complain it magically appears. They tell me I need my gp to issue controlled substances early so they can take a week to process it which guess what the gp won?t do. Issue it early. So every single month I encounter the same rubbish and the same lies and it?s extremely annoying. It?s like care just got thrown out of the window and people get seen when the pharmacy can be bothered to see them it?s a complete joke of a place. And needs a good kick in the backside.

Picked up an online doctor prescription, working in pharmacy myself the woman at the counter was rude and short because I didn?t realise I?d put a relatives address instead of my own. From one healthcare professional to another please improve your customer service skills.

If it was possible, I would give this service a 0. The lady was so rude to me and wasn't any help at all. I needed my medication for my mental health and she told me she couldn't help me and spoke in a very rude manner. Absolutely horrible women.

The staff here used to be fantastic really helpful and polite. The woman who works there now with blondish hair is so rude and abrupt.Don?t think she has any customer service skills.

Have been here a couple of times to pick up general supplies and they have been fine.
I had one experience when I had been without some medication for a while and my regular chemist had some IT issues so I was sent to this Boots by NHS 111 and was treated quite horribly. They made out as if I was lying and then refused to issue me the medication with a 111 prescription and ended up giving me an "emergency supply" of a single dose of my medication (which did absolutely nothing).
Avoided for a while but have since been back since moving closer and, although I don't love it I can't fault it other than the bad experience I had with their staff member.

Staff were so friendly. My prescription was lost in the ether, they found it & dispensed it all in 10 minutes! My local pharmacy in Nottingham cannot do it this fast and they dispense weekly to me. Highly recommended

Recently changed pharmacy after moving to tanghall and only waited 5 minutes for my antibiotic script! The pharmacy is very busy and the staff are rushed off their feet but it doesn?t stop them being so welcoming and polite! The 1star reviews further down made me chuckle regarding them lying about when they get prescriptions- just because a GP has sent a prescription on a certain day, doesn?t mean the pharmacy have had chance to download it that day! Also I bet the majority of you live round the corner, get off your lazy bottoms and walk to the pharmacy and leave the phone lines free for the poor elderly patients! Feel sorry for the staff having to deal with such angry airheads ?

Getting a bit annoyed at the lack of phone answering. Also lying about when prescription has arrived. As of the 16th Jan 2023 I am now barred due to confronting manager mandy over her overheard derogatory comments against me. The extreme defensive response was enough to tell me I had caught her out and she didn't like being called out over this. Her staff responded by quoting my Google reviews after I said I would escalate further. Only go here if you wish to be pushed into early coronary failure. -5 stars is real review
