Considering the situation, it seems that a staff named Sue who has a blonde hair work on Tuesday 27th Aug at 12.30pm here may have treated you in a discriminatory manner. It appears that she walking following me in the store and told me off when I tried to smell the perfume, referencing a previous incident with a customer asking me do i work here while she needed help and this member named Sue was standing nearby. Her subsequent behavior seemed insulting to me. It may be necessary to investigate this matter for her conduct and how to communicate with customers further.

Had a variety of items available- coming from Australia this is a store I like to visit when I come to the UK- I like how they have popular beauty brands available in the one store and their more affordable brands are at discounted prices.

I went on 7/07/25 to boots and usually have a good experience but an older man on the self checkout was extremely rude and condescending when i just asked for help when pressing the wrong button. looking at me like i was stupid. i also work in a customer facing job so i understand it can be tiring and people have bad days but it just made me feel like an idiot and it?s not fair to customers who may have larger difficulties.

Really not happy with the service worker on the boots self service tills today (11/06/2025 @12:45)
I went in to purchase a brush and got some other products too. Went to the till to checkout my items to find someone had stamped the security tag on the CeraVe blemish control wash over the barcode meaning it wouldn?t scan. I asked the guy to please remove the tag and he asked me if I had paid for it to which I told him no I hadn?t but I physically can?t scan it when the security tag is covering the barcode because the till will not recognise the barcode because half of it was blocked! He took it out my hands and fair enough took the tag off but proceeded to keep it from me and scan it for me and made the comment of ?you still have to pay for it though? to which I replied ?well yeah obviously? the staff member clearly thought I was trying to pull a fast one which makes no sense as the other products I had picked up also had security tags on them.
So, Boots instead of having your staff think I?m trying to pull a fast one, which is clearly what this staff member assumed of me, and quite rudely so, how about you teach them the basics of retail and teach them NOT to COVER the barcode of an item with a security tag. It?s made me really angry and ruined my entire experience which is a shame as it was going really well since you had in some products I?d been after for a long time (Beauty of Joseon) and didn?t actually know you stocked them until I came across them.

My cousin and I visited York this week and popped into Boots. A delightful young lady 'HANNAH' assisted us with our every need. She was so lovely and very knowledgeable in all things beauty, makeup and color matching.
This young lady is a breath of fresh air and an asset to this store.
Thanks Hannah!

I have had several negative experiences at the beauty counter over the last 2-3 years, including recently. While there is an amazing array of products, staff are unwilling to spend the time to helping you colour match for a foundation or concealer or even lipstick. They are inattentive, unfriendly, and in a rush. I?ve never been able to buy a foundation that matched my skin colour because staff are unwilling to take the time to consider options. Although I?m interested in the brands Boots offers like Fenty or Bare Minerals or Nars, I end up going to Fenwick?s and buying a more expensive brand as the staff take more time helping you.

This is a really lovely boots. I went in for some bits for my daughter who was ill on our holiday, and the woman pharmacist was amazing. Unfortunately, I didn?t get her name, but she was so helpful and friendly; I?m very grateful. I was in around 9:30am April 8th, she had shoulder length blonde/light brown hair. The store is also very well organized and stocked. Thanks so much! Pictured is a card she gave me, maybe she can get some credit where credit is due for being so lovely!

I recently visited Boots the Chemist to collect an emergency prescription for my terminally ill wife, who is battling lung cancer and urgently needed Salbutamol for her nebuliser. Given the critical nature of her condition, I expected a level of urgency and compassion from the staff.
Instead, I was met by a staff member who appeared completely indifferent to our situation, I was casually told "It's not available, we'll text you when it's ready, then you can come back and collect it." No concern, no effort to help, and no recognition of the distress this causes for a terminally ill patient struggling to breathe.
For a pharmacy entrusted with providing life-saving medication, this level of carelessness and disregard is unacceptable. Patients who rely on urgent prescriptions should not be treated as an inconvenience.
I strongly urge Boots to reassess their customer service training, particularly when dealing with patients in palliative care. A little empathy costs nothing, but it makes all the difference.

Very disappointing visit to this branch of Boots.
I have used countless Boots stores over the years and usually had great experiences but this was different.
I had quite a shopping list and was anticipating spending around £40 however I left without spending a penny.?
Why?
I needed an item in the 17 range-walked around the store without success. Found an older assistant chatting to her friend at another makeup counter so asked for help. She showed me the correct stand and walked off.
I couldn?t find the item so went back to her for further help.
She showed me where they should be and walked off again.
I found a tester in the correct shade but there were no products out for purchase.
She was still chatting to her friend at which point I gave up and left.
No ?Good morning!?
No ?How can I help?? etc
I appeared to be inconveniencing her.????

This morning I was unfortunate enough to enter this Boots store at approximately 08:45. First I went to the Max Factor section where a woman was stacking shelves. I asked her about a Max Factor product and she replied "I don't know, I don't work here" No offer to endeavour to find out. So I gave up on that and went to the Bobbi Brown section, nobody about so I wandered across the store as I needed to make a purchase. The woman I found was not friendly, I pointed out the Bobbi Brown item I wanted to purchase and then she said (rudely) "is that all?". I replied yes. By the time we got to the checkout her demeanor had improved somewhat, probably realised she'd been very abrupt with me.
I work in retail, I know you're busy. But the customers pay your wages and if you put them off, they won't return.
