Spent a day with Ben over at Black Paw 4 x 4 on an overlanding prep course on my defender 110. The day was well planned and was based on what I wanted to learn and what I wanted out of the day.He went through everything in slow time, explaining everything that I would need to know and problems that may arise whilst with your truck.1 day after and I have already got 3-4 items on order to repair myself that would cost over £500 if I sent it to a garage, so already saving money from this course.This course as 100% money well spent, anyone who is looking at repairing their own truck to save trips back and forth to the garage i highly recommend.Cheers Ben.

Just had my discovery 2 lifted and the tyres changed, was told by ben is was a of a pain of a job (typical land rover) but stuck to the price and has done a fantastic job, I would recommend them all day long. And already know a friend will be getting in contact with them about some work!

Can't thank Black Paw enough for rebuilding and reviving my 110 soft top and 130 longtail overlander. I've found it really difficult finding someone I'd trust to take the job on - rebuilding a 400,000 mile overland truck that's become part of me over the last 20 years - it had to be Ben. He is a perfectionist with huge knowledge of the vehicles and he takes great professional pride in doing a job *right* - not just cosmetically right but "right" as in a vehicle that will last another 400,000 and another 20 years without difficulty. He's kept me firmly in the loop with costs and choices regarding parts and options and I'll go to him again when needed. Highly recommended.

I had major body-off surgery on my early Range Rover Sport. The work was done on time, to the estimate that was agreed and a huge amount of care has been lavished on the car. I was invited down to see progress on the car and discuss options on different ways forward. These guys really know their stuff - from the earliest 1948s onwards. Iâ??m merely a satisfied customer but I will be back - thank you to Ben, Richard and Martin for a job well done.

I yesterday collected myDefender 110 that the guys at Black Paw have done an extensive rebuild for me. It is rare in the modern world that companies go to so much trouble to be as good as they can be, but Black Paw and especially Ben has be no less than perfect. It would be easy for Ben to just take a whole load of money and fit brand new parts everywhere, but he constantly advised the options on what would be best.
