Lovely old place, dates back to the 13th century. Had a couple of halves; hand pull IPA and Moretti, very reasonably priced and very good quality drinks.

What a pub! Unspoilt, traditional and no attempt to gentrify and ?modernise? - thank goodness. Perfect Boltmaker on tap, and a fantastic fire in winter. Friendly locals, good conversation and everything a traditional pub should be. Hard to beat!

We only had drinks in the bar but the service was good, and the bar staff were very friendly. Made you feel very welcome.

Went and had Thai in the restaurant which was great and highly recommended. Only criticism was we spent £90+ on food and the charged us for the prawn crackers - really most places give them complimentary
