Had great service from Bensons for Beds, sales person spent lots of time with us giving advice. Once we ordered we were kept informed about delivery and care of product. Delivery was brilliant, rang ahead, checked where it was going, unpacked it. Guys were great and respectful.

Mixed feelings with bensons for beds and my experience, the staff at the york store do actually do a good job and come across as helpful and do their best but unfortunately are let down with the organisation on how they operate as a business which is poor in my opinion.\\nI purchased a bed from them last year - it was slightly damaged which they compensated me with minimum fuss and I was pretty impressed how they handled it so I didn?t hesitate to buy more from them but unfortunately that?s when I hit issues with further purchases at a later date ,\\nOrdered 2 wardrobes and a chest of draws , delays in getting them which was disappointing, I wanted to build it all myself and asked them prior if was ok - yes they said . Built it all to find parts missing , wrong parts in the kit - nightmare, contacted bensons york - they were pretty helpful and customer care who were shocking to deal with - back and forward it went and then they turned round and said because I built it I had actually invalidated the warranty even though parts were missing ! Absolutely shocking !\\nSo their response was to report them for it and seek legal advice !\\nSince they merged with another company standards just have gone downhill, customer service is a waste of time so my advice is think carefully before you buy anything from them , if you are lucky to not have any issues then you will be ok - if you do have issues be warned !

Really disappointed with the service we were given by Bensons for beds. It felt that they were quick to take the money but no so quick to give us the product.We arranged for a delivery of our bed and mattress, 6 days before the delivery was due we recieved a call to tell us there would be a delay and the new expected date is now 7 weeks later than planned. We called customer care as advised by the store, who were extremely rude and unhelpful, they were unable to tell us why there was a delay, offered us a laughable £30 compensation or £50 bensons for beds voucher.When asked if we could cancel our order as a 3 month delay after ordering was unacceptable and not practical for us we were then told they will take 20% of the money we have paid.Totally unacceptable customer care and I would not recommend bensons for beds to anyone.

Absolutely disgusted by my experience with Bensons for Beds, we were expecting a delivery of our bed on the 13th February 2023 and got told only 6 days before the delivery was due that there is now a 7 week delay. Meaning, we are now sleeping on the floor! The staff in store are very good at talking the talk, but once they have your money it is all downhill from there.We have had no answers why there has been such a massive delay, and was instead told to ring a customer care team. The lady I spoke to was incredibly rude and unhelpful, her solution was to offer me a compensation fee of £30 or a £50 voucher to spend in store. Ridiculous.To get a refund, bensons take 20% off your total order so you are pretty much trapped with them.I would not recommend bensons for bed. Not unless you want rubbish customer service, delays, rude responses from staff and an overall bad experience. Absolutely awful company I would recommend people buy their bed from elsewhere.

After a terrible experience waiting 3 months for our order (to still not be delivered) and constantly given wrong information over and over from the customer service team (not in store) we returned back to the york store and spoke to Sam. Within 24 hours Sam had our issues sorted and a delivery date booked for 5 days later. 0 stars to the customer service received on the phone but 5 stars to the York store for helping us get it sorted.

The purchasing experience of the mattress was great, however the delivery was not.The delivery drivers were very unfriendly, refused to bring the mattress into the house as the front door was being painted, when they did bring it in they were just going to leave it in the hall leaning the wet plastic against the wall, eventually they brought it upstairs but then they were just going to leave it leaning against the bedroom wall & not put it on the bed frame. When asked to do it, one driver stormed off back to the van & the other stayed to unpackage it & place on frame - but then wasn?t going to take the plastic wrapper with him

Very helpful in store,advised us every step of the way,and nothing too much trouble. Delivery was exceptional,phoned us the day before,and again half an hour before delivery to let us know how long they would be.Two very good delivery lads again so helpful,willing to put the mattress wherever we needed it.would recommend.

The delivery drivers didn't introduce themselves, not like other delivery drivers that we have had and threw the mattress into the lounge of the newly built annexe/house for my mother in law. We have had much better service from other companies. I am telling you this only so you can improve the delivery as the bed itself was ok. It's a shame as we were going to buy an I gel mattress and bed from you with £2,200 but we are going to look elsewhere. Such a shame as the lady who sold us the bed in York was amazing.

Service in the shop was great. We had a lovely sales lady who was very helpful.We were supposed to wait 8 weeks for a wardrobe delivery. Due to delivery issues we had to wait 12. The delivery was supposed to be between 8 and 1. I tracked it on the day and it was supposed to arrive between 1030 and 1230. The delivery arrived at 1.30. Then when delivered we found out it was a flat pack! I have never waited for a flatpack in my life and with the wait on deliver assumed it would be pre-built. How surprised were we? Finally the flat pack instructions were the worst instructions I have every read and were very complicated. All in all I was not very happy.

The deliver drivers were good no problems but I ordered it to be constructed and it was not put down as such so the 2 guys rightly could not do this for me, for over a £2500 bed you would think I would not be bothered paying £25 for it to be put up for me.When the driver passed me to a lady on the phone from the warehouse she didnt seem that bothered and just kept saying it was not their issue and to call the store I bought it from.I tried to construct it myself but the instructions were NOT clear enough and I was sure their were parts missing.I called the store in Clifton Moor York when it opened 30 mins later at 09:00 and the assistant manager called Chris came down and assisted me which was great, he found out that I had not recieved a bag of parts to construct the bed properly but he had brought with him the parts needed from York just in case as I had said on the phone about the instructions not adding up to the parts I have.So no, my experience was not good at all thanks from the warehouse side for a bed that cost me so much money, the only saving grace for your company was the assistant Manager from Clifton Moor York called Chris.
