We went in on a Saturday morning regarding a account set up. The first lady wasn't at all interested in helping us at all. The second wasnt much better. Talk about 'computer says NO' No appointments at all available on a Saturday ever ? How ridiculous. What never ever ever ? How about Saturday 2035 ? Nope nothing available. Get a grip the lot of you. Useless. No wonder all the banks are closing down.

Natalie from York! I don't normally review, normally at the wrong end of corporate rubbish and try and just get on with it. This was the case with Barclays, stupid situation reducing my credit limit whilst abroad travelling so I had no credit due to a massive balls up from Octopus of all people. A month + later after many calls, Natalie broke the mold, listened, went the extra mile, even called back several times to solve the problem which has now been reversed. Thank you again Natalie

The WORST bank in the UK. I just wanted to open an account I have to wait for one month, it is absolutely ridiculous! I followed the guide on Barclays app until the app told me I got to go to a branch to verify my address, I called the number to book an appointment and was told the next available slot for the branch is after a month, so I directly walked in to there and all staff were free and they told me they can?t do that without an appointment ? they were even chatting with each other but cannot help me with my new account opening ? This situation would never happen in other banks in the UK. Rubbish bank and bad staff ?

Closes at 3 and was there just before and wouldn?t let me in, a business with a lot of cash to bank. Advisor was rude and said I wasn?t there, the irony is it was before their closing time as we had the chat and it?s 3.01 as I post this and have taken the time to write it. Clearly I was there before 3!!!!! Bad form.

Excellent staff. Very helpful and they try to find the most cost effective route to sorting things. Very patient and want to help you get the best from your app and they will guide you through the process. Took them 5 minutes to sort me out.

No staff to deal with problems, over an hour wait to show someone my id. crazy for a big city center branch. ***** Reply: Thanks James it only took you 2 weeks to get a generic reply to my review, about the same time it took me to see the only qualified staff member in a branch servicing 1000s of your customers. Perhaps the rest of the reviews for this branch and mine are completely unwarranted. but then again.......

BARCLAYS THE CLOWN BANKApplied for a Barclays credit card, to use on holiday. No problem we thought (we own our own home and have reasonable income)Cards came through. After about a week we had a letter saying cards had been blocked due to unusual spending. We have'nt used the cards!!This was a lie.Phoned the given number to be told the account had been closed, we no longer met their criteria.

The counter opening times are a joke .9:30 - 2pm so you need to book a day off to get a substantial amount of cash out . It?s ridiculous
