Went today to buy a light fitting and some plants.
The attitude of the 2 women on the till was shocking. I asked if it was only self service to get no answer just pointed at. When asked what are you pointing at she just said the scanner. Not friendly at all. I had to buy the light fitting as was having it fitted today but left the plants as I'm not giving my money to businesses that have no customer service, poor attitude and patronising tone.
I have used this store many times in the past and never had a problem, I've always found the staff helpful and friendly. Not today though.

Product range - good.
Ben?s shouted at by an employee after paying and trying to leave and then Ben?s told by the store manager she wasn?t, an having to walk out of the store because none of the staff saw an issue with shouting at customers 0/5
Appalling and called customer services form the car park immediately on exit

Staff are always really helpful at this B & Q, but when I went on Monday, John, in the Garden Centre at the time, was fantastic. Got the really heavy stuff on to a trolley, he went and got, and took it all out to my car after I paid. Thanks John, hugely appreciated your help.

Amount of times I've been over the years I've found it poorly stocked and missing many items. Timbers all bent out of shape and told unable to open a fresh pack dispite the 20-30 timbers on sale were crooked. Today was my last visit.

I had the best experience of customer service at Clifton Moor B&Q. A member of staff (Alby) was cutting wood for another customer and when he?d done I asked him where to find the half dozen items on my list. He took me to exactly where I needed to be (which was all four corners of the large store). He lifted the heavy items into the trolley, waited as I went through the self service checkout, then took my trolley right to the car park and lifted it all into my boot. Perfect score B&Q and a big thank you to Alby of course.

I and about 20 other cars in the last few minutes all pulled in one after another to find it wasn't open as specified on Google. Literally car fulls of people turning up to realize they had wasted their time

How come no toilet provided for customers in a large shopping place? That is ridiculous and unacceptable.

I needed advice on ahesives for shoe repair.
'Tay' advised us of the area in which to locate the product. Not only did he follow and advise upon goods, he explained and helped us enormously.
Well done 'Tay'

It's shocking that B&Q (Clifton Moor) are apparently unable to provide customer toilets because of a part that can't be sourced. Zero for customer service.

Clifton Moor B & Q is the worst B & Q I have ever been to. Staff are unhelpful, all stand around checkout talking about personal stuff and when you ask them for help to check out something they all look annoyed that you broke up their party. The toilets never work and when you ask them they always give some pathetic excuse that shows they actually could care less. I'll be finding my nearest wickes for DIY and garden centres for garden stuff because this branch doesnt deserve my money.

It's B&Q so you sort of know what your getting but with Wickes just around the corner that can be up to 50% cheaper I found I go to B&Q less and less.
I was not impressed with how they operated under Covid 19 at the York branch, it was a mess, every isle chained off just led to confusion, forcing people to take a trolley meant it was bumper cars as everyone had to u-turn at the end of all the isles.
Wickes however operated smoothly with no fuss at all.

I have been there few good times in last two months and their toilets are always out of order.Bit hard to understand that big warehouse you send hundreds every vist and they don't have working facility.

By far the best B&Q we have been in so far!
I am a disabled / blind person who accessed the Store with my Carer recently to buy paints.
I must say the staff are very disability aware and friendly and the assistance provided was excellent.
In our experience, the customer service delivery is nothing short of excellent!
Staff in particular:
Vicky (Paint Mixing Desk): Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - very patient and nothing is too much trouble.
Carol (Shop Floor Assistant): Again, very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, who gives great advice! Carol is the nice lady with wonderful blue/purple hair - you can't miss her when you go in.
Lynne (Checkout): Friendly and helpful - good advice.
We're quite sure, all the other staff are just as good :0)
These staff are a credit to B&Q - we feel a staff bonus is well over due.
Thanks again ladies, for a wonderful service.

Helpful staff told me exactly which aisle I needed. Also staff available at self checkout if needed.
