“After a little confusion when I was trying to open my new ISA, Tom was amazing and not only opened the account but sorted all my transfers into my new ISA for me. He advised me how it was going to be done and sure enough when I checked a couple of days later, everything had been transferred just as Tom had said it would be. Amazing service. I would highly recommend.”
“It’s a large Asda with a range of vegan options and it even has a refill section for cereal, grains, coffee, dog and cat food and sweets. There is also a home section and clothing (George).
I find Asda too expensive for most things but I make a point of getting cereal from the refill section which is great to see”

“I have recently had two bereavements within 4 days of each other, my head was a mess but coming into the bank the staff were gentle & understanding straight away. They were sensitive & dealt with me quickly & offered to help me where they could. I also received a most beautiful bouquet of flowers which they had secretly dashed out for! I got hugs & it meant the world at such a traumatic time”

“I go here most weeks for the last decade or so, on the whole it's pretty good, folks like you and me trying to keep it all together and exist.. some have a bad day, as we all do. Some need more training, but given that they do post office, lottery, shopping, shelf stacking, stock rotation etc I think it's pretty amazing.”

Everything scanned first time with no messing about, which I didn't realise was possible for self scan tills (and amateur scanners).They also looked really, really clean - not sure if this is what made the difference or not? Anyway, I really noticed this and it made a pretty dull shopping trip surprisingly satisfying.”

“Natalie from York! I don't normally review, normally at the wrong end of corporate rubbish and try and just get on with it. This was the case with Barclays, stupid situation reducing my credit limit whilst abroad travelling so I had no credit due to a massive balls up from Octopus of all people. A month + later after many calls, Natalie broke the mold, listened, went the extra mile, even called back several times to solve the problem which has now been reversed. Thank you again Natalie”

“Had a really positive experience in HSBC yesterday. As we walked in, we were instantly greeted by a friendly member of staff. My friend wanted to deposit some money but couldn’t remember his pin. She patiently showed him how to retrieve his pin on online banking, talked him through how to deposit the money, and explained to him how to change his pin to a more memorable one. Above and beyond!”

“Brilliant service! We ran out of fuel at a busy set of lights by the petrol station. I hadn't bought any fuel for a long time and didn't know why there were bollards across the entrance. but went in and asked if there was any. There wasn't. I explained where we were, as we could be seen from inside the shop, and said that we'd have to call the AA out and left. A very nice guy came running after me and said he might be able to get enough for a can. He did, lent me a can, which I returned immediately. A huge THANK YOU to the guy, I didn't get his name, but he stopped a crisis about to happen.”

“What a charming historical find so close to the motorway. Nice explorable surroundings. Comfortable room and hotel with all the facilities you should need. Lovely and helpful staff and locals. I will definitely come again for pleasure. “Learn from the smaller Guys, bigger chains” this hotel was like home from home retreat and I regretted having to leave for my conference the following day .”
