We came for a Valentines dinner and, despite the good food, the experience was ruined by the service. Our food took a painfully long time to arrive, which you can accept to some extent given the night it was, but the real kick in the face was the table next to us (who arrived later than us) being served at the same time yet receiving endless apologies for their wait, their meal completely free, and they were even offered free extra dishes, right in front of our faces. We were completely ignored for the rest of the night too, and had to wait half an hour before we could even get someone's attention to pay our bill. Definitely not an experience you'd expect at any half decent restaurant and I don't think we'll be returning

Very average food...think a step down from wetherspoons regarding food quality. Service very quick though but would have rather waited longer for decent food. Won't be returning...

Beautiful building and restaurant area.
Really good, friendly service.
Was quite disappointed with our pizza though - so stingy with the cheese! Not like the online advert! We ordered 2 margarita pizza's. We paid extra to upgrade to the prime base, which was nice, but let down by the fact that the cheese barely covered the surface (see picture) and the chips were tastey but a very small portion for £4.50.
There were alot of families here with young children. I think they have coloring in sheets and crayons etc for kids - so seems to be quite a child friendly location.
Overall, food was disappointing and expensive for what it was. Wouldn't return here again.

Dined with 4 adults and 3 children. 1 of the party has dairy and soya allergies. All staff were very attentive of that and ensured they were catered for, providing alternative menu and bringing out their food with stickers on the plate so easily identified. Food was lovely and reasonably priced.
Took a little while to get someone's attention to pay the bill but we weren't rushed at all which was nice.
Children were very happy with their meals and kids eat for £1 over half term was great.

Vegetarian options: I ordered the vegetarian carbonara with vegetarian type bacon. The meal came without a single piece of vegetarian bacon. The waitress just smiled vaguely when we mentioned it and then resolutely avoided our table . So I had a plate of bland spaghetti with a little cheese sauce. Apparently this is ok for vegetarians! Boring and tasteless.

We come here often - food is great and decently priced, the building is beautiful and the staff are always lovely.
We will be coming back but I felt obliged to leave a review about how poorly staffed the restaurant is pretty much every time we come. We were there last night (Saturday) and there were only a handful of waiting staff when the restaurant was completely full. They?re clearly rushed off their feet and doing their best under high pressures. It?s a shame Ask treat their staff so poorly, it?s a regular occurrence and I doubt it would be that hard to find an appropriate amount of waiting staff. Seems they are trying to make cost savings at the expense of their employees wellbeing.

The restaurant is set in an older building, so it makes for an interesting, but delightful, atmosphere. The food was amazing as always, I had the mushroom & truffle calzone and my partner had the manzo piccante. We shared a brownie for pudding.
Vegetarian options: There are a few vegetarian and even vegan options for each section of the menu, as well as many vegetarian sides and puddings
