Absolutely shocking supermarket, never has what you need and the delivery service is abysmal, if you manage to get a whole shop you are extremely lucky the substitutes are not even a similar product sometimes and the express delivery this is the 2nd time it has said it has been delivered but hasn?t even turned up leaving myself and my children with no food late at night and all they say on the customer service phone (coz let?s face it no one ever answers the phone at this store) is they can only issue a refund which takes 5 days to get back in your account, honestly they need to sort out better customer service

where do you even start with this place? Used to be great, utterly dreadful to their staff. Petrol station isn't manned and the air pump machine doesn't work, leading to my fiance being stranded with no trained staff to help. Unresponsive and standard email template responses to complaints, I genuinely consider this to be one of the worst supermarkets in York.

This star rating was a long time ago,I think now I would rate it 2.The place is so different, no staff morale,go in early never any staff on lottery counter.I used to look forward to seeing staff I have known for years not anymore,I spent at least £150 per week there but not anymore.as soon as I have spent my Christmas savings I am going back to Sainsbury's, go in there it's bright and welcoming. Think Asda is on the downward track,a lot of the staff are miserable and looking for other jobs.

Typical ASDA with lots of choice and reasonable prices. Pity the cafe has gone.

Received my online order on Friday 8th November. Included in that order was 5 packs of British pork mince. This was however substituted for Asda just essentials mince but as we had not tried this mince before we thought we would give it a go. How wrong could we have been. On Tuesday 12th we opened one of the packs of mince to make into meatballs. On man handling the mince we noticed small shards of glass in with the mince. We instantly stopped and tried to report it to Asda but the only way to do it was via refund and put the explanation as glass in the product. We got the email saying that we had submitted the refund request and then an email saying the review is taking longer than expected but we would get an email with their decision. It is now the 18th November and we haven?t heard a thing. We contacted Asda and was told by a very nice chap that the refund was rejected. I told him that we had not received any notification of this of which he apologised. I asked to take it further as a product with glass in it in my opinion should be recalled. This nice chap contacted a supervisor and now I have to wait another 3 to 5 days for an email. Iam amazed that when a customer informs Asda that a product is contaminated with glass they just ignore it hoping it goes away. We have had a professional look at the believe to be glass and he confirms, it is glass particles. Let?s see what happens if Asda email me, if not it?s going further. I did say what am I to do with the other 4 packs of mince that potentially have glass in, I was told to either eat it or give it too the needy?.. err no it needs to be collected for investigation or the bin it goes.

Firstly, the guy on the services counter (think his name was Mark iirc) really needs retraining on customer service and how he speaks to customers. Secondly, you need to train the staff on the Paypoint services you provide. I had an Imovo voucher I wished to redeem and was just told that they dont do them (with an attitude), later followed by that you can chose which transactions you want to do in store (a breach of Paypoints T&C's which i'm aware of having previously been a Paypoint retailer myself) . I have no trouble usually at the Asda at the Arnison Centre which I usually visit. It's a basic Paypoint transaction, but I was refused and argued with over it. Appalling service received, not just for not providing the service, but for the manner inwhich I was spoken to. I was made to feel like I was trying to defraud them, all for the sake of a £24 imovo voucher.

Visited today at approx14.45.
Went to the lottery kiosk and the last member of staff gave me the impression that she didn't want to be there.
This has become apparent with this member of staff on a few occasions.
She literally threw my lottery purchase at me.
No goodbye or anything.
When I worked in a face to face position we were trained to welcome the customer with a smile or good morning/afternoon/evening how can I help?
I think this member of staff needs re training in customer service I.e people skills.
I know people have bad days, but you are there to represent the store so please smile it doesn't hurt does it?
I know it is hard in this day and age good luck.

It?s a large Asda with a range of vegan options and it even has a refill section for cereal, grains, coffee, dog and cat food and sweets. There is also a home section and clothing (George).
I find Asda too expensive for most things but I make a point of getting cereal from the refill section which is great to see

Why are Asda blocking two disabled spaces with their own vehicle?
