Dodgy pint. Bad guts. Should have sent it back because it smelled off, I honestly think the barmaid gave me the drip tray. Food was good. Timothy Taylor's aswell, heart breaking.

From start to finish a lovely warm welcome as we entered the pub sat and had drinks first felt no rush no pressure to go through to the restaurant once in the restaurant the table was amazing very fun shake decor the food outstanding the wine was outstanding and so was a service
We had to wait late to get a taxi home and there was no rush to get us out. The door will definitely be going back.

We came upon this gem by accident. Recommended to us by a chance encounter while walking up Rosebery Topping. The first thing to notice was the very smiley, friendly staff. The decor in the restaurant created a lovely atmosphere. However, the food was really excellent, especially the seafood pancakes. We only had the small portion but I think we will be going back for the bigger one! Enough interesting choices on the menu to make it a challenge to choose. Thank you to all the staff for making our visit such a good one, especially welcome on a murky, wet Saturday!

Had a lovely meal, steak was cooked to perfection. The seafood pancake and brisket Val bun were both delicious starters. Posset dessert was also very good. Staff were the perfect level of attentive and we were allowed to relax after our meal. Highly recommended.

We called in for Sunday lunch, our 2nd visit in just over a year. This place has a good atmosphere, with some good music being piped in.
We opted for the two course option on the menu, starter and main, at about £30 a head. The food was good but not amazing, you wouldn't be disappointed with it. The staff were friendly and polite, plenty of them also, so service was quick.
We sat in the beer garden soaking up the sun on this Sunday afternoon.

Visited with members of the Yorkshire Driving Club, only bought drinks. Large Teepee outside and folk were gathering for a wedding party, but this did not slow down bar service for me.

Great place came for a 60th birthday at the weekend, food was gorgeous, beautiful venue, great service had a great time thank you! Loved the tipi!!

The overall atmosphere and dinning experience were pleasant.
The prices are consistently overpriced by a solid £5-£7.
I went for the seafood bucket. The octopus arm was over cooked. The dish itself was overly complicated and would have benefited from less lumps of fried bread (to bulk it out? It was also served with two slices of toast and a plate of chips). Moules frites is a classic simple ~?15 dish that didn?t benefit from being messed with.
Tasty but disappointing for £34!
The wine was ok but pricey at £30+ a bottle. (3 *)
The service was ok. (2.5 *) We were given the half a slice of complementary bread at the practically the same time as our meal arrived.
(you are reminded on every menu that ?a service charge isn?t added to your bill? - as if £45+ per cover isn?t enough!)
The ambience is kind of nice. (5 *) There?s a whole lot of recycled, clearly secondhand, almost painfully quirky, mismatched furniture and crockery.

We just happend to drive past and stop for food and it was amazing my husband was obsessed with the seafood pancake... Nothing like it 1000/10 quality ingredients and such a lovely cosy atmosphere and the staff where so attentive can't wait to bring my family back here thankyou

Absolutely amazing pub. The food was sublime, the staff were just fantastic and did everything to make sure we had an excellent experience.
