Very dodgy when it comes to refunds

I sent 2 rings back around 2 years ago and Hammonds have lost them. I am still teying to get some answers. They have me on their system and they keep all correspondence yet cant find them. I have had nothing but trouble with them since the start. From an engagement ring that lost its jet, to replacing with another that did the same. They changed the design of the ring and dented it. We returned for refund, only to find that ring in the window of the Whitby shop. I deliberately went in and tried it on and told them and suddenly it was removed from the window. The jewellery may be unique and pretty but what a carry on. I am having to chase these rings up when they should be chasing it up for me. Can't be hard to find as they were both bespoke designs. Fobbed off at every turn. Absolute scam. Do NOT recommend at all.

Awful communication, refunds a nightmare. Ordered a watch 6 weeks ago. I knew this wasn?t in stock so I didn?t expect immediate delivery. Called and emailed 6 or 7 times. Promised an ETA but never calls back. Eventually decided on a refund. First requested about 3 weeks ago. Nothing. Then again last week, still nothing. Garbage customer service, no communication at all.

This review is no reflection on the staff I have spoken to as they have all been very polite and professional.The company however, seems to have a shambolic sales and refunds system. When I placed my order for a new watch, there was no useful communication; a week later when I chased this up, I was told that it wasn't actually in stock and that they had requested it from the manufacturers.A few days later, you guessed it, no contact. Upon chasing again, I was told that the watch had been discontinued and requested a refund.I've now chased this refund several times to no avail before being given a guarantee of the refund being paid today. As this obviously didn't happen, I have chased again and been assured that this will actually happen over the weekend.Someone in the management team clearly needs to be mobilised a little, so I'll leave a 1-star review here every day until it's resolved.

Disappointed that the watch I had ordered wasn't dispatched as stated in an email and required me to chase the company. Didn't receive call back as promised, cancelled the order and now still awaiting refund, which is late. Used this company previously and a positive experience, not on this occasion though.

I placed an online order for a Thomas Sabo bracelet for my partner, I called them 5 days after the delivery date to ask where the bracelet was, only to be told they didn't have it in stock!! They offered to refund but wouldn't reimburse me for the extra costs for me to get the bracelet from another stockists in time for when I needed it. Thought this was very poor customer service, I won't be shopping with them again. I wonder how long I'd of waited before being contacted? The two stars is because they refunded me quickly.

Like other 1 star reviews I have had the same experience of poor communications and lack of interest in resolving a Baring watch that stopped working after 7 months , it then took over 3 months to 'repair' and now 9 months later it has stopped working again. Still waiting for a report on why it stopped working , but I will be requesting my money back if the watch is returned with no reason for the failure.I too wanted to support a UK company but it seems they are not willing to provide the quality of service we require as customers.

I can't say enough about how helpful the staff are. Gillian particularly!Typically with my online surprise jewelery presents, I bought the wrong size ring in a style my wife wasn't keen on. On visiting the shop they were extremely helpful organizing an exchange and working around the usual online returns system so I could get EXACTLY what my wife chose. I couldn't be happier or more grateful for their patience and help.Not to mention the amazing Blue John jewelery, which is unique and of the highest standard.If I could give 6 stars, I would!Thank you so much :)

The place to go for Whitby Jet, we have been buying bits and pieces from W Hammond for years. A very large selection of every kind of Jet based jewelry as well as a goid selection of "ordinary" but beautiful jewelry and watches. There is a tea room as well but thats on out To-Do-List of tea stops. Amazingly decorated for the Halloween Holiday as well.

Really disappointed. Bought a reasonably pricey watch online. No updates or confirmation from the shop. Rang a few times for delivery updates, promised someone would get back to me. No replies!Each time the person I needed to speak to was on another line or in a meeting.Hopefully will be refunded and will purchase elsewhere.Such a shame as wanted to purchase in the UK.Maybe a delivery issue, but would rather an honest answer.

Discovered the wonderful tea room above this shop purely by chance (it's not that apparent from the outside that it's even there) which is probably the reason why it was so easy to get a table despite the big crowds outside. Absolutely fantastic service with lovely drinks and cake. Highly recommended you search this place out either before or after tackling the steps to the Abbey.

We discovered their cafe by chance. It's tucked away upstairs through the shop. Went in for a cup of coffee and a scone and ended up with a fresh crab sandwich and a bottle of local beer for me and the same for the wife but replaced the beer for wine. Delicious food with very friendly young staff

Afternoon Tea. Afternoon tea was just as good as Bothams, I'm particularly fond of Bothams, so this was very surprising.
