The food was terrible, paid for jumbo fish and triple cut chips, turned up must have halved the fish and got fries not chips kids meal had bigger portion, paid £8.50 for nachos and sour cream with salsa and guacamole, came out with just cheese, poor service, don?t eat here.

Visited pub in the afternoon and seemed lovely. Checked menu for the evening and said "served food 12-9pm. Went back at 7.30 for tea only to be told they had stopped serving food - very dissapointing ?

Lovely pub, but music was painfully loud. Genuinely to the point where the bar staff couldn't hear anything we were saying. I feel sorry for their ears, because it was dangerously loud. Couldn't stay inside for more than a few minutes.

Food ok salad had no dressing tho the menu said it comes with it ..chips the same no seasoning on them even tho menu said they were seasoned ..didnt complain as there was only 1 person serving food and drinks ..the chef must of been working alone aswell that day

Cheap but not especially cheerful.
Great location with fabulous views across the harbour and the staff are really decent people trying their best. The price was ok given breakfast was included but that?s about where the positives stop. The whole place outside of the room needs a thorough deep clean, it?s grimy and tired which is a shame for the staff and the building which could be stunning. Our room was small but clean with space to hang clothes and a small dresser. No beside light though and a very tatty bathroom - in fairness it all worked and the room was warm. The room must have had a lick of paint recently as the smell was overwhelming and although we managed to get the window open a couple of centimetres it wouldn?t stay open so we couldn?t vent the room. It was noisy and you kind of accept that given it?s a pub but the furniture being moved at 06:00 and the beer delivery at 06:30 spoiled things. Some rubber matting for the beer delivery would fix that problem. Sadly we wanted a drink about 10:20 pm on the first night when we arrived back but we were told bar service had finished ?. So overall great location but a miss more than a hit. Staff trying hard with a tired building.
