Great hospitality, decent ales, pleasant surroundings. Unfortunately the atmosphere was ruined by a very annoying local who seemed hell bent on verbally upsetting everyone!!

We stayed in a top floor room. It was small, but perfectly sized from laying in the comfortable mattress & gazing out the window over the harbour & Endeavour replica ship.
The staff are wonderfully welcoming & genuinely nice. The bar was great and the live guitarist entertaining. I love that people can bring their own fish & chips to eat , though would be perfect to be able to wash it down with the local Whitby beers.
We were there with our pup, and he was welcomed by all & given all the attention he craves. I loved that they had not only dog treats, but also prepacked meals, in case they were needed
Looking forward to our next visit!.

Spent three nights and loved very minutes of it from chech in to check out the staff where fantastic the room was perfect clean and tidy. Although we could only open two windows but not much of a problem. One lose tap but it's getting sorted. Overall we had a great weekend and we will be back in December.
Rooms: Room was very clean
Nearby activities: Whitby harbour close by
Safety: Very safe we was told what to do in case of the fire alarm sounding and given instructions on how to get out of the building.
Walkability: Short walk to the town centre

Great little pub on the marina front. Extremely dog friendly and allows you to take in fish & chips from the local chippy!

Fantastic 3 night stay this week Friday to Monday. Nothing was too much trouble for Jo and Adam the managers of the pub, who were very welcoming throughout. Great room. I stayed in the newly refurbished room 5, which is small but functional. Perfect for the solo traveller with a comfy double bed. Clean, tidy and welcoming. They even give you snacks and water in the room. You can come and go as you please even when the pub is closed. No main meals available (although they do cheese boards and other bar snacks) but you can bring takeaways in if you please, or there are plenty of other options on the doorstep in Whitby. The pub itself downstairs is excellent, with a great range of drinks. Live music Thursday to Sunday and a lovely open fire in the bar. What?s not to like? I go to Whitby every year for 3-4 nights and normally stay elsewhere, but this will be my regular now as long as I can get in!

We stayed here for our first holiday away together and had such a lovely time! All staff were warm and welcoming, the room and facilities are excellent and the bar downstairs was somewhere really nice to spend time after a long day out. We will definitely be returning again very soon! Huge thankyou to all the staff. From Daniel, Millie and Sage
