The location is incredibly central a few minutes walk from the main area, station, pier, boats are all within walking distance.
The accommodation was clean, spacious with gorgeous views. There is no lift and a lot of stairs if you?re staying at the top and the shower was a bit hard to change temperatures but apart from that everything was good and it was a comfortable stay.

Private parking which was the reason for booking this accommodation, was not available!
Ate out first night but bought food in to cook the second night. What a mistake, food had to be thrown away as the oven filled with smoke and thought we were going to set the smoke alarm off. The oven was filthy with oil and had obviously not been cleaned for some time! Food thrown out and another expense of eating out. Any response from the company......No!
The only good thing was the location.

The apartment was falling apart. All 4 of us lost count of the all that needed repairing. The light in the kitchen was no existing. The disabled lift was not working, and this made it very hard for me to go up on down the stairs, especially as either there was no hand rail or the one tje had you could not hold on to. So where as we have normally enjoyed staying in o e of these accommodation, we was totally disappointed and not sure if we would use you again?

When we came in everything looked fine. Walked to the kitchen, hob was awful and overly dirty. Toaster was also really dirty, mirrors are dirty and found food stains and food crumbs on the carpets in the bedroom. Feel like the staff haven't cleaned at all. Saw a sign saying about you will be charged £100 for mess. Made me laugh a bit as this mess wasn't even sorted by the staff before we got here. Definitely need to focus more on detailed cleaning.

Stayed here for a weekend break. Good location with a car park close by. You have to pay out of winter times but prices aren't too bad. The accomodation was really nice, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a small kitchen and a decent lounge. Very clean. Would definitely stay here again. Good price also.

Gosh where to start! Apart from the good location that was the only positive.
Massive security concern as someone staying at a cottage next to us had the same security code and managed to enter our property whilst we were there.
Apartment was dirty and had cleary not been cleaned prior to our arrival, stains in multiple beds and mold in the bathroom and master bedroom.
Worst of all we tried to contact the team multiple times and we have been fobbed off completely.
They really don?t care
Do not stay !

We came for a family weekend break, 2 bedroom apartment (starfish accommdation)
Was a really lovely break, very hilly for anyone who may struggle with mobility but we didnt. Accommdation was well presented, and had most of the basics, tidy and well presented. Very easy instructions to access our rooms, and straight forward booking.
The only negative i would comment on if i was been picky would be:
Lift not working. we could have really done with it for my dad who has poor legs but luckly we was only on 2nd floor so he managed. The tv would only bring up 3 channels but again nothing major we was out most of the time anyway.
Overall fabulous weekend! Love whitby and made more beautiful memories.

We managed to book as a last minute quick break for 5 of us we were in starfish 6 the place was massive really impressed with space everywhere was clean and tidy. We were a 30 second walk from town which was great. My only issue was been on the top floor we had a 3yr old and 2yr old the lift been out of order having to walk the many flights of stairs however really enjoyed it and will be booking again

Relatively clean but furniture looking very dated and tired. The bedding smelt very musty even though you could tell it had not been used. Kitchen was very poor and we only used the sink. On the plus side the carpet looked new, the bathroom was clean and modern(except for the shower) and a great location. The keypad access worked well and the scratch card for parking was waiting for us, all very simple and we could take our dogs at an extra cost. I would def not book again with Discovery Accommodation as it looks like most of their accommodation is in need of tlc.

This place is perfect for being in the middle of the busy city precinct without all the noise. Pub Street is literally a 3 minute walk away. Staff were amazing and rooms impressive. Cant wait to get back. Glen from Adelaide

Absolutely disgusted with the room . Mould on the ceiling. Black mould on the grout in the shower. Muck on the window I'm sure it's never been cleaned. Paid £30 for parking to find out we had to leave our car at one hotel and we was actually staying at another . The smell when you walked in the front door was vile. It was not worth half the money we paid. How do they get away with it.

Very misleading and shocking! After spending a lovely day in Whitby we went to go to check in. The house they had put us in was difficult to find in a car and the building itself was very dated. After climbing 3 flights of claustrophobic stairs we arrived to practically a bed sit. First thing we saw was a fist mark in the drywall. The whole building stank of urine. We called the ?reception? to speak to someone not even in Whitby who said all they could do was see if they could swap rooms. We definitely weren?t waking up on my partners birthday in this accommodation! I dread to think what the ?swimming pool? looks like. Unless you want to get some kind of infection I wouldn?t bother spending your money here. We ended up going elsewhere, it definitely put a damper on our holiday.

I stayed here a few years ago in which it was a lovely place so booked again but the 2 nd time it was awful the room Rockpool was cladded out with wood and was very small and smelt of urine just like being in a coffin. The good thing about this place was the toilet brush! After trying to get help and sense out of a non English speaking receptionist that too was a failure. Poor customer service and a terrible place to stay. I have emailed twice and just get ignored. This place is not worth a £1 to stay let alone what we paid! I would never book again with them. They need a good manager to sort this out or the bad reviews will just start flooding in.
