Not really the stores fault but appalling service from Argos On Line. Ordered and paid for an ipad online, payment came out of my bank and email confirmation of order and details for collection sent from Argos.Arrive at the store an hour later and assistant states the order was cancelled. Huh??I then spent and hour and a half trying to find out why it was cancelled and when I would get my refund. After ringing Argos Customer Service, who were useless, I was told it had been cancelled due to ?failed security check? and refund would be back to me in 3-5 working days! No details of what that check was or who had cancelled it. Rang my bank, payment had been authorised and was shown as pending, waiting for retailer.I am still none the wiser as to why they cancelled the order. Refund was received and ipad bought elsewhere.The assistant in the Argos shop was great, and tried to help but clearly wasn?t privy the relevant information.

Called in to collect an item at 7.20pm Saturday for our sons birthday only to find the store closed. A lady on Sainsburys checkout explained how they shut early all the time and tonight it was 7pm when they should be open until 8.30pm. Unbelievable to think this is how a supposedly reputable company like Argos carries on.
