Today?s mission: review Tim?s Café at Thorp Arch, nestled between Wetherby and Tadcaster. Tucked away in an industrial estate that?s more business than play these days, Tim?s is a hidden gem. Once a bustling retail hub with a mega play park, it's now filled with learner drivers and instructors. Sundays are a madhouse thanks to the car boot sale, so either get there early or call ahead to place an order.
Just a stone?s throw from the prison, it?s worth a visit if you're tired of the standard cheese and ham toasties. Tim?s has always been our go-to spot. We usually grab breakfast and some OJ. They?ve got a ton of options and will customise your order?well, they do for us anyway. It's affordable and good value for money.
Their bacon sarnie in a sub roll with extra bacon? Legendary. And their Full English is a hangover hero. The staff? Absolute legends. Always nice, chilled, and chatty?perfect if you're not usually the sociable type. Plus, your dog gets the VIP treatment with their own sausage.
Fair warning: if you eat in, you might leave smelling like a fry-up. So, if that?s a dealbreaker, just grab your food to go. All in all, definitely recommended.

Wouldn?t bother unless you?ve got over half an hour to wait only to be told that your order hasn?t been started! Used to go regularly but won?t bother again. It?s really gone down hill.

We have been eating at Tim's bistro for nearly 2yrs now whilst attending the car boot. Great food and good prices...nothing too much trouble for the wonderful staff who make us all feel welcome. Always friendly banter and a great atmosphere. Always busy and runs like clockwork. ?

Tim catered for 30 of our guests offering a range of options. We ordered the meals to go (in advance) and they were all hot and fresh and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Steak pie was full of meat, quiche was super tasty, beef sandwich amazing with tender meat. Cakes are varied and all is excellent value.

At the Great Car Boot slae which happens each Sunday and went for our usual Fried Egg sandwich and Bacon and Mushroom. This is one of the best fried egg sandwiches, bread lovely and soft and eggs (you get 2) nice a runny. Hubby loves the Bacon and mushroom as well. Really good value for money and great to see Tim using the new types of boxes.

Friendly, attentive service. Ordered fish finger sandwiches and very pleased with them when they arrived. We sat in a conservatory area which proved a bit noisy but the noise was down to clientele rather than staff.

Went to the cafe for breakfast, I'm not joking the place is filthy! When I got home I thought I'd look on the food standards website to see what the rating was, to my horror its has 1 star out of 5. The olsde needs closing absolutely disgraceful someones going to get killed eating from this place. DISGUSTING Please check the food standards website

Its a good old truckers/road stop cafe. Great to break the journey up if going up or down the A1/A1M or going into York or the coast. A little of the track but worth it. Food and service is excellent and prices are very good.

What a great cafe in an unusual place.Great breakfast, proper size teas and coffees, all at great value for money. Worth a ride out to the car boot, just for a sneaky breakfast here.

My wife and I have been coming to Tim's Cafe for around 3 years now. We have never had a bad meal, the service is great and the prices are very reasonable compared to similar establishments. They welcome dogs as well which is the icing on the cake. Great place to eatParking: The cafe is located on an old retail park so there are absolutely loads of parking spaces and nothing else using them.
