We went for lunch. The food was good, as was the service. It was a week day and not very busy so the atmosphere wasn't buzzing.

Lovely pub. Warm welcome when we arrived and we were really well looked after throughout our meal. Food was delicious.
Parking: The pub car park at the back is quite small so it's luck of the draw getting a space. There is plenty of parking on the road though.

My husband had a chicken pie that had a large piece of plastic in it. The chap behind the bar wasn't very welcoming both when we arrived or when he took our order. He was apologetic about the plastic though! We only booked because the pub said it was dog friendly - it's not. Dogs are allowed but that's all - it's not what I would call friendly.

We had Sunday lunch at the Bay Horse, spent £20 - 30 per person for two courses (starters & main) and I'd recommend it. The starter of homemade black pudding was excellent, I then had the roast beef served rare and my wife had the roast pork. Both were delicious. The only criticism is that I had to wait nearly half an hour for an espresso after the meal, but even with this I'd still drive back there from Sheffield for a meal.
Parking: Free on street parking outside and opposite the pub, well its free on Sunday not sure about midweek.

We had two dinners with over 10 people each time. The first went pretty well but we had problems on the second visit with the food service being delayed for a couple of the party. However, a really great place overall with great food and friendly service. I wish I lived closer!
