I walked in just after opening, looking for a 60th birthday present, no one asked if I needed any help, when I asked if the stocked a particular brand they said no and that they had never heard of it. Didn't offer any alternatives or help, I went to a local competitor and bought a £100 bottle of champagne instead because the service was actually decent.

Friendly always well stored..nothing is too much trouble, plus they have a substantial list of wines and beers. Worth a visit. Keep the small businesses supported or lose them.

Really good range, especially of good German beers and lager compared to anywhere else locally. Some select good reds, some more expensive than other places and some cheaper. I think overall it's very fairly priced. However I want to give the place 5 stars but the vibe in there is wretched. The people who work there/ who may be owners or managers, are so miserable and borderline rude. Manners and a smile cost nothing and this isn't an isolated incidence of catching someone on a bad day. We go every other week or so and I almost begrudgingly give my custom.

Unfortunately did not get chance to go in look around after parking up and making a call our friend to ask which wine to pick up the man from the shop came out tapped on the window and asked us to move off the private car park!! Shopped elsewhere ?

Great shop and a good selection of wines and beers but if you need any information don't bother asking for it because the staff could not be less interested if they tried just rude and ignorant couldn't even be bothered to look up from the laptop hence to say I will not be venturing in there again

My reason for the visit was to stock up on my rum. Nice selection of unspiced rums, the lovely Theakstons Old Pec was a bonus, they seem to have a decent wine selection too .
