Amazing day out and the staff are so accommodating and great with the children

We had a great time here with our grandchildren. The boys loved everything from the animals, the magic show to the soft play barn.

My 2 year old was ecstatic to go to a farm and play area, after booking in and purchasing some feed for the animals away we went, we went into the first barn where there were some horses, chickens and goats, all was well until we reached the final horse in the barn, I had stroked the horse with no issues and it sought out attention, my 2 year old then went to give the horse a tickle when the animal bit her on the thumb without warning, not in an attempt of seeking food but to cause harm. This then put a negative experience on the rest of the day. The result is quite a significant bruise on her thumb with swelling. When I informed the staff the horse had bitten my child it was almost laughed off, then I was told "oh yeah, that horse is abit naughty" and "oh maybe it thought your hand was food" . I was offered an accident form to fill out with no apology, I understand you cannot predict what an animal will do, however if a horse is "naughty" should it be on display around children, with no warning the horse does/may bite? The play area facility was good and she did enjoy it, be aware lots of extra rides are pay to add on extra.

We come semi regular because it's close. Staff are always really friendly and approachable. Balances farming and tourism well. Always got events on. Attractions are well maintained and used.Food is *heinously* expensive but is very good and probably on par with the cost.Parking is good.Playground: Indoor and outdoor. Both very good. Well used and looked after.Restrooms: No frills. Good working order.

Took kids here, never been before but really enjoyed it, animal feeding and entertainment, then had 2 hours inside at the activity room/ diner, really clean, a lovely day outPlayground: Safe and well placed to see kids playing.Restrooms: Plenty facilities,Picnic area: Plenty tables outside to take your own picnic

It's a nice little farm but not good value for money. I went in half term with my one year old and one grandparent and it cost us £37 for the 3 of us just to enter. I don't mind paying for a good day out but that seemed steep for a small farm and soft play. The tractor ride, farm safari, quad bikes and pony rides were all an extra £2 - £6 per person on top of entry. It is well kept, clean and the animals are well cared for so it is a good farm but it would usually cost me £8 for me and my daughter to go in a Friday so the increase just for half term week is crazy. We also planned to eat lunch but as we couldn't get in soft play until the last session we ended up eating elsewhere first as you can't get in to the food bit I told your soft play slot. They had some activities on for half term but I'm not sure the cows appreciated the party music blasting out in the barn and not what I go to a farm for.

Awesome place to go with family and kids Chris the owner is a great guy and the facilities here are fantastic been here quite a few times over the year's.

Thornton Hall Park, I highly recommend it for families. Lots to do with the kids e.g feed the animals, hold the animals, quad rides, indoor play area but the thing what gives it 5 stars for me is the food.Don't be put off with the prices it's well worth it, and the milk shakes are amazing.
