Perfect place to stay ,clean rooms , helpful and friendly staff, one small point shower cubicle is very small (slightly claustrophobic) i know can't be change because of the age of the building. Breakfast was outstanding catered above and beyond for my dietary needs.
Rooms: Clean and fresh well appointed
Nearby activities: Went for a meal at least caveau, had cocktails in a new bar , the mess house had a great atmosphere .
Walkability: Very central location to visit castle ,shops .
Food & drinks: Good choice of stouts and ales

Had a lovely meal, meeting up with family whilst visiting the area. An issue with the food was promptly resolved. Dog friendly too!

My husband and I had a truly delicious evening meal 11th March it was that good we returned the following evening the 12th I'm afraid we were to be very disappointed my husband struggled to eat his flat iron steak choice of meal I had the same but could only eat a 3rd of it as it was a very dry tough and chewy piece of meat with no flavour at all as it was £23 I complained and was given unsatisfactory £5 discount I actually heard a gentleman on the next table also complaining about his very over cooked meal

Delicious food and lovely beer garden but would have liked a dog menu as my dog was left having bits of my food to avoid going hungry on a hot day. A staff member said they couldn't plate up a sausage for him as they contain garlic which is fair enough but many other establishments offer doggy menus. They had 80s music playing in the outdoor seating area which made you relaxed. Some staff were friendly and eager to greet my dog which was lovely. Convient location. Didn't sleep over, just went for some food mid-afternoon. We will be back!

Our favourite Pub in Skipton. Great food and if friends came, we'd put them up in a room in the woolly Sheep!
Nearby activities: In skipton Town centre!
Walkability: Easy access to station, Skipton Castle and bus station.
Food & drinks: Lovely! Check out the special night they do!

IT?S LIKE THE TARDIS
Never judge a pub by the outside.
From the outside the pub looks small and dingy. However, take a punt and go in, it?s surprisingly roomy with plenty of space for drinking and dining, with a warm cosy snug complete with open fire.
Dining is in their restaurant or bar meals, we chose the latter.
Ordered at the bar and our meals soon followed.
We were pleased with our lunch, very tasty, well presented, all in cosy surroundings and served by pleasant attentive staff.

The food was excellent. We both had the slow cooked braised beef and it was amazing! The chips were pretty awesome too. Best pub meal I've had in a long time.

Great atmosphere, good drink selection, comfortable surroundings, two fish dishes arrived under cooked, waitress sorted the problem swiftly and professionally, very dog friendly, staff are excellent, we would eat here again, a pleasant evening.
