All the staff were great.

Okay premier inn, lovely location. Reception staff are nice. Knocking two stars off cos please train the two housekeeping staff that did the corridor with room numbers in the 120s on the 31/3/25 to not shout to each other across the corridor and have really loud conversations for the whole time they're there. It's a hotel, some people pay to come here cos they have to sleep during the day not at night. People pay a lot to stay here. I get wanting to chat but the volume was ridiculous literal shouting with no consideration. Also hate the fact that there's no window that can be opened in the room and the fan/ air con whatever it is doesn't work. Gets hella stale and warm in there.

Good location

Recently stayed here for 2 nights, the staff in the hotel were lovely, helpful and polite. The hotel itself on the other hand was awful, when I entered the room it smelt like damp, it wasn?t hard to find out why, the walls were soaking, the roof and window ledge had mould all over them. The windows were locked for safety reasons so couldn?t air the place out. Air conditioning was provided instead but it was useless, on max fan it made no difference therefore the room itself was stagnant. There was an extractor fan in the bathroom , however this was also useless. I agree with a previous review I seen posted, staff are great, but the place is run down and in desperate need of refurbishment. I would recommend staying elsewhere until it?s rectified.

Stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. When we arrived we were behind two other people who were also checking in. The chap doing the check in was very friendly and the wait was minimal.
The room was as expected but overall was clean. The room showed signs of age but this did not detract from the comfort. The bed was extremely comfortable.
The shower was a bit of an issue as it was over the bath that was difficult to climb in & out,but with insight we should have asked for a room with a walk in shower or similar. Can't blame the hotel for that.
We and in the adjoining pub on the evening. The food was freshly cooked,I had the steak and my wife had the scampi. Both meals arrived hot and were acceptable in term of quality & price. Menu offered the usual fayre, nothing fancy.
We opted for the cooked breakfast deal. The breakfast offered continental (self serve)& unlimited cooked items that were delivered to your table rather than buffet style.
The cooked items were fresh & hot and very well presented.
The staff at the hotel and restaurant were very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.
Ideal location for exploring that part of Yorkshire.
If you're looking for the Ritz then choose somewhere else, but a decent value for money hotel, then this is a good choice.

Stayed here to do some shopping in Skipton. We were here last year, and found quite a bit of difference to then. My room had a lot of mould in the shower area. My friends room had a stained sheet, and a frayed pillowcase. Credit to the lady on reception, bedding changed immediately. Pub attached gone back too. Top toilets locked, bottom end one,s filthy. 2 x room areas in pub all furniture removed, not using area at all. Breakfast good.
Rooms: Very dated. Not the cleanest
Nearby activities: Great shopping in Skipton, with outside market too
Walkability: Need a vehicle to get about, but good footpaths outside, for a nice roadside walk
Food & drinks: Fairly standard Brewers Fayre food.
Noteworthy details: Felt the Hotel and attached Pub were very tired and dated. Good stay, comfy beds.

Looks like on a Saturday they are majorly short staffed. Pub doesn't open until 6pm check in takes a while as there's one member of staff doing everything. Not her fault, terrible management leaving the place with little to no staff ! Rooms smell damp and not premier inns usual standard

Nice rooms and great base to explore the area

Not the best Premier inn by any means, you could say a bit tired and dated. However I feel this is reflected in low price for a room, just over £110 for 2 nights at the weekend is a great deal.
The staff are wonderful, very warm and friendly from front of house to the restaurant.
It's in a great location to explore the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding area.
I've seen other reviews about mould in bathrooms etc, I would say there was definitely no extractor fan to remove steam after showering, which would cause issues.
I would definitely stay here again
Rooms: Adequate size, usual facilities.

Well placed for exploring the Yorkshire dales, and it In a decent spot next to the canal and close to gargrave. However as others have said, could use a refurb - bathroom extractor fans don't work well enough so bathrooms stay damp, leading to mold and a very rusty towel rail. Room ventilation system was noisy, regardless of whether it was turned on or off. Room had a connecting door to next room that seemed poorly soundproofed.
Staff were friendly.

Longest check-in I?ve ever experienced despite being the only one arriving. Having said that the staff were very friendly.
The hotel itself and the adjoining bar / restaurant are kind of a dump. I booked breakfast but cancelled when I saw where I was going to eat.
The bedroom was old and tired with lots of rust in the bathroom and broken coat hangers on the wall.
Frankly I felt bad for the staff because they put in a shift but the hotel needs a complete refurbishment. I wonder with new Premier Inns popping up all over the place whether they?ve taken their eye off the older premises.
Only stayed because it was an equal distance from where I live to the lakes and I wanted a rest half way.
Rooms: Scruffy. Need a complete refurbishment.
Nearby activities: Skipton.
Safety: Broken door locks.
Food & drinks: Fending machine and gross restaurant next door.
Noteworthy details: I?d look for somewhere else until they refurbish.

Ideally located for my hike on Ingleborough. I stayed one night. Gargrave village is about 10 mins walk down the road and has a Co-op and places to eat. Rooms are basic but clean and the bed is comfortable. Lovely breakfast with good range of options available. Staff were warm and friendly.
Safety: Felt very safe here
