Superb customer service today at Skipton O2. I am profoundly deaf and need to lipread which has been very difficult during Covid with masks. When I explained, nothing was too much trouble and the assistant Adam was so patient and sensitive to the situation.\\nNo pressure to buy or unnecessary upselling- just making sure the phone was right for me. Everything explained clearly so even a technophobe like me could understand.\\nReally happy with the phone and every confidence in going back for help if needed.

My family and I have been buying phones from this shop for 16 years and have spent thousands of pounds over time. Today, I wanted to upgrade my contract and purchase a new phone as my existing one will not start due to water damage. When the lad eventually let me in after fussing about in the back, he led me into the shop without a hint of a smile or greeting in fact he was the most miserable young assistant I have ever encountered. He basically told me that there is nothing for me in the shop and he just couldn't be bothered! I asked him to check my tariff to see if I'm eligible for an upgrade which is what all the previous assistants have done, to which he asked to see my passport or driving license that I didn't have with me. I asked if I could use their computer to do this online but he wouldn't allow it because of Covid. At this point I asked what if I didn't have such identification? Which he replied with a suggestion to ring customer services or buy online which I replied with the unfortunate excuse of not being able to use my phone for online purchase as they want to send a verification code to my phone that I can't even switch on. I never raised my voice and there was a windows cleaner present who can verify that no way was I rude, yet I was accused of being rude while I was actually outside the shop leaving in disgust. The customer service today was dismissal and the worst experience I have ever had when trying to make a simple purchase.

After spending several hours with O2 trying to sort out a problem with my Galaxy A10, with no success at all, I rang Skipton O2 and spoke to Adam who sorted it all out for me in a matter of minutes. He's a genius! Thank you very much Adam

Being a long time O2 customer (10+ years) I have to say that, without a doubt, this is the least professional O2 shop I've ever stepped foot in. Management are lacking in terms of providing adequate training for their younger workforce. And to top it off, they have the cheek to charge a £25 deposit for use of temporary phone straight outta 1999.
