I had an issue at work today and long story short had to requisition a pair of pants for a lady. Quickly. I ran to next and ask the very kind ladies for help. They were superb!! Sorting my size and fashion issues. (I?m so sorry I was so frantic I didn?t get your names, it was around 3pm). The lady in question loved the pants just fyi?. Lifesaver. So thank you so much.

Absolutely terrible no taste to anything the chips were bland and the battered sausage was awful the batter was soggy and tasteless we left more than we ate also very expensive for terrible food avoid at all cost

We called in for lunch and stood by a sign stating please wait here to be seated. After 10 minutes and no members of staff in sight we found a table and sat down. A few minutes later a waitress appeared to take our order. Haddock and chips and plaice in batter and chips, tea bread and butter. After 5 minutes the tea arrived which we drank. 20 minutes later food started to come out of the kitchen and was served to other customers most who had arrived after we had. We tried to gain the attention of staff who were well trained in ignoring us. The food arrived with no apology or explanation and it was obvious that there no chips with the plaice and the haddock was more of the size of a fish finger. I called a young male member of staff over and asked why there were no chips and why the haddock was so small. He seemed unable to communicate and walked away. 5 minutes later he appeared and placed a small container of chips which tasted of old oil. No other comments from him. The plaice was very thick batter with a sliver of fish and skin. We explained our situation to the duty manager who wasn't really interested and reduced the bill. Overall very poor service and food. A very disappointing experience which left a sour taste in our mouths.

I am local and have been going to Bizzy Lizzies regularly for many years and always been very good. I stopped going about a year ago as I had a bad experience, but gave it another try today. The fish was very small and "grey" and the chips were OK, but heated up as I waited. When served, the portion was really small. So expensive too. Sorry, but I won't be going again.

We never received our food; we were asked to leave before our order arrived:- I was at the restaurant with my son, a friend, and his son. We had ridden there from Bingley and was looking forward to our fish butties. We parked our bikes outside and leaned them against one of the outdoor tables. Since it was raining, we didn?t think this would be an issue, as no one would want to sit outside on wet tables in the rain. After placing our food order, a waitress approached us and requested that we relocate our bikes. I politely asked where she?d like us to move them to. She seemed confused and unable to answer, so she said she?d fetch the manager. About three minutes later, the manager arrived and insisted that we move our bikes. I pointed out that it was pouring rain, and no one would be sitting outside in such weather. He didn?t see it from my perspective and wanted us to leave. Given that I was with two eight-year-olds and the restaurant was only half full, I didn?t want to create a scene, so we decided to leave, more or less being escorted out. Other diners were equally surprised by the restaurant?s attitude, and everyone seemed at a loss for words. THIS PLACE IS NOT CYCLE FRIENDLY, I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK!!

Popped into the chippy for some chips to takeaway. Impressed they were open quite late for a Sunday evening. Easy to find on the main road near the bridge over the canal. Chips were nicely cooked and hot. Just what I needed!

Sat in the restaurant service could have been quicker. When I received my food it was borderline whether to send it back as I expect food like this to be hot and not just warm. It's the second time this has happened. The restaurant wasn't particularly busy on either occasion. It's a shame because the fish is very tasty

We arrived at 17-50, seated straight away as the place was not too busy, maybe 4/5 other tables occupied. Ordered F&C tea. Tea pot & 2 slices of bread and butter arrived promptly, but 20 minutes later tried to ask waitress walking by, if our meal was close as our tea was drunk and bread was starting to curl. TOTALLY BLANKED! Tried again 10 minutes later, same again! I was not happy, As we left ( 18-40 ) there was still no reaction from staff. I am sorry for not paying for two cups of tea, I have never done this before, but I was upset

Lovely food, good selection of food, greeted by friendly staff at the door. The fish was lovely and the chips were scrumptious.

Staff are totally inept. Food less than average . Train your staff in good customer care manners as they slag you off when you have gone. Visit at your peril

Stopped to get some good old Yorkshire chips and a potato scallop - so wonderful. It?s the dripping taste. Being a native but having lived in Cumbria for 43 years where they really don?t know how to cook fish and chips!

Amy was lovely and really looked after us, so welcoming, helpful and happy. What an asset to the restaurant she is. Always enjoy the haddock and chips here and just as good as usual.

I went yesterday for fish special chips and mushy peas plus a portion of chips. Instead of cooking me a special ,i was told there was one ready and was fresh out of the fryer . Having taken it round to share with my elderly mother to share was very disappointed to say the least . It was dry and stale , god knows how long it was in warmer for but fresh it was not . I would nt have wrote this complaint if fish n chips were a cheap meal but I paid over £15 .Will be steering clear in future.
