I had an eye test and commenced a free contact lens trial today. I was very apprehensive about being able to apply contacts for the first time at the age of 51. I was seen by Sophie and Hannah who were brilliant. However, a special thanks to Joanna who taught me how to apply and remove the contact lenses. I found this extremely difficult, but Joanna had the patience of a saint and without her I may not have been able to do it! Thank you very much!

Recommend Boots over the other high street opticians. Staff are always really friendly and answered any questions I had, no hard sell. I have only ever got new glasses if I had significant changes in my prescription whilst other companies always push you to buy new glasses each visit. The range of frames available is always a bit boring in most opticians and getting pricier each time but that's not just Boots.

I?ve been having my contact lenses check up for the past 20 years and never have I been in and out so quickly. The optometrist rushed my appointment and didn?t seem to want to check my eye health in detail - unlike the other optometrists I?ve had over the years. Even when I was putting my jacket on to leave, she was getting some blue cover out to place over some equipment. The lady in question was very pleasant and polite but it all just seemed rushed.

It?s always a pleasure to go to Skipton branch for my eye examination. All the staff are so friendly and offer excellent professional advice when choosing new frames. Hannah tested my eyes and as usual she provided a first class eye examination and talked me through the photos I had taken and letting me know that all the readings done in the pre test were good and my eyes were in good health. Carol (and other staff) helped me choose new frames. It?s not easy when you can?t see properly how you look when you haven?t got your glasses on! I can always trust their judgement on the suitability of frames. A stress free visit every time!
