I'm afraid I cannot comment much on the food even though the scones looked very nice... I walked up to the counter at 13.20 and was told quite abruptly that they close at 2 (I only wanted tea and a scone which would have taken me 20 mins. max to consume). I was so surprised at this greeting that I turned around and walked out and went to the eaterie at the department store around the corner which incidentally was lovely.

We had to make a quick visit to Selby and popped into The Hub for a quick bite, lovely bacon sandwiches and drinks, friendly and attentive service, definitely worth a visit

Half of the order was ignored, when the food did arrive it was wet and terrible. Staff seem to think the are doing you a favour when going there

I have previously visited before they change management, and won't be returning after today's vist. Arrived at 12 45pm, was queuing for over 15 minutes as service was so slow. Finally got to till to be told by a miserable member of staff with no smile on her face that they have stopped serving food, no sign anywhere saying the time they stop food service to avoid people queuing for no reason, unles there just having drinks. She then said abruptly "are you having drinks or not." At which point I walked out and won't be returning!

Called in on Remembrance Sunday and the service was absolutely shocking. It took 10mins to serve each person!The place is run by dithering geriatrics, ended up walking out after half an hour.

My husband and I had a full English with a hot chocolate and latte. It?s one of the best breakfasts we have eaten in a long time. The hot chocolate and latte were also excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely make this our go to place to eat. Thank you all.

From tomorrow The Hub is changing its opening times from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.. For the past four years l have gone to The Hub at 8:00 a.m , six days a week to have a coffee with a group of friends. 08:30 is not convenient for me ( traffic etc.) so l for one will have to find an earlier opening cafe. I counted eight customers in the Hub today prior to 08:30 but apparently that number is not viable.
