“On our short visit to Selby we couldn't resist taking a peek into this famous and impressive abbey. It is a former Benedictine abbey and current Anglican parish church in the town. It was founded in 1069 and is obviously steeped in glorious, sometimes tragic English history. Suffice it to say that this is definitely a place to spend some time if you are interested in English, religious history and architecture. Wonderful.”
