It was easy to make an appointment on line. The staff on the day were really friendly, helpful and gave excellent advice when I was choosing my new glasses. They made me feel relaxed, and confident that I was in good hands. Well done the team at Boots Selby.

Staff very pleasant and efficient, everything ran on time. The optician made me feel comfortable and at ease and explained in full what he was doing and what they could offer to help with my sight.I will be taking a trial of new contact lenses which were ordered in store (1 week delivery) upon delivery I will order my new glasses prescription.

Mixed feelings about this practice. Adam the optician is helpful in trying to find you the right contact lenses you need...although it's frustrating when they find the right lenses for you, only to find that they are discontinued before you get your 3month supply.Some assistants are more helpful than others - one in particular is extremely unhelpful and lacks empathy and support when there is a problem that isn't the patient's fault.

Staff were helpful. Test was thorough. Choice of glasses was very poor. Only 2 pairs fit me so I had to choose them despite not really liking them.

All staff were super friendly, helpful and put me right at ease with the problem I was having with my eye/s. Would recommend boots selby and will be using them again in the future :) one happy customer with one bloody eye

The optician mumbled so had to ask him to repeat questions, he appeared to have no confidence with the eye tests machinery. He gave me the test glasses to put on instead of him putting on. He said he had to redo one of the tests after checking my eyesight but when I reminded him he said oh I forgot. When I said I couldn't read the bottom line he said try again. When he finished the tests he said you need to choose more glasses today. Not impressed and came away feeling disconcerted, so made an appointment with another optician in another practice who told me that there was a significant difference in the prescription therefore if I had used your prescription to have my new glasses I would have struggled. I had to pay for this second opinion which I am extremely annoyed about and feel I should be compensated for.

Great experience from start to finish. Thorough and friendly eye tests and really helpful and lovely front of house staff helping me choose the frames that best suited me.

Terrible service from the two ladies,rushing me in,talking to me like I was back in the Army,Training!There was only me in the shop?so no need to act this way.Then rushing me to pick the glasses I want!(cost a fortune by the way)are you ready !are you ready !picking the right glasses? is important especially when they say,You know they are non refundable ?A customer service course wouldn?t go amiss here ladies,or if you are not happy get another job somewhere hidden away from the public maybe an ?.I know HMP Wetherby are hiring,(perfect).Find another opticians.The actual optometrist was excellent ?
