The room unfortunately was in need of a good clean. Bathroom door was all breaking away at the bottom. Radiator was a disgrace and either wanted stripping and repainting or preferably replaceing! Again bathroom needed a good clean .

Good hotel, just needs minor work done to the rooms. I.e, in my room the material on the floor in the bathroom had detached from the shower. Lovely view from our rooms. Had a lovely sea view. The food in the restaurant was pricey but very yummy.

Great location very close to the tram service down to the prom but from the outside it looks terrible and very run down. Was told that it had seaviews but the view outside my window was grim.Carpets in the hallways and rooms definitely need replacing and found someones bobble at the side of my bed so clealry wasn't throughly cleaned. Bed were comfy but had a pigeon infestation outside the window and they make noises constantly throughout the day and night,Half the side lights didn't work in the room also. This is a dog friendly hotel but again alot of barking during the early morning. On the plus side the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was ok

Booked here last minute so didn?t have to catch the train back from Whitby. It?s was only £60 for the night so nobody can complain about the price but there?s a reason it?s so cheap. Outside is very run down. Inside is even more run down. Carpets filthy, plaster cracked everywhere, mould on the ceilings in the corridor. The room itself - mould around the shower tray, mould on the soap bottles (lucky I had my own) carpets showing age but looked cleanish. Bed sheets looked fresh and clean but after leaving the hotel and catching the train I noticed that my legs had been bitten like crazy. Looking at the rest of the hotel I should have guessed that they would have bed bugs, flees.
I didn?t eat or drink here so can?t comment on the food.
My advice would be to go the premier inn up the road even though it?s double to price

Our 1st time here, hotel is in a good location with ample paid car parking but don't park in loading areas you will get a ticket. The hotel is very tired and rundown in places, but the high rooms have great sea views and are functional for a 1-night stay this is reflected in the price. The staff were friendly and professional and helpful also you can store your luggage here before check-in. This hotel would not be our top 3 but when needs must we would return....

Stayed last week for a night by the sea. The location of the hotel is on top of cliff on the sea front, however sea view not visible from hotel as another hotel in the way.
Outside of hotel very run down. Staff were polite and helpful.
Room was spacious but very run down. Chair leather split. Flat roof outside window has rubbish including nappy on. Water was coming up through the bath plug. Ended up not using the shower facilities. Would not stay again for the price paid

Rooms are below par. Massive dollop of seagull muck running down the window.
Asked for a room makeover as we had no toilet roll, no hot drink supplements and needed fresh bedding. All they did was throw a few towels on the unmade bed... this was after a wait of two days!
Plaster hanging off the corridor walls, looked like someone had booted their foot through it.
Lifts smelled of grease and heat.
Floor needed hoovering.
WI - FI:
Free. But only for 30 minutes a day. If you want more you have to pay... However it's totally free outside if you use Scarborough's service.
A way around this is to just to log back in and type in a load of random letters followed by @aol.com Save yourself a bit of cash to buy a hotdog.
Expensive Hotel for such a poorly presented, shoddy and low maintained booking.

Very very basic room worst travel lodge I have been too.
The outside looked awful run down and paint falling off and the rooms wasn't far off been as bad as the front of the building looks.
The smell as you open the door to the lift was horrible like old damp and a mix of blocked drains.
We got to our room and dam it's the most basic room I have ever seen. I didn't think it could get any worse then bam I opened the bathroom door and it was horrible.
Food was ok.
Would definitely 100% not recommend this place to anyone not even for £5 a night.

Staff are nice but the room! i stayed in a 1 double bed and omg! Hair on walls the bed just didn?t feel clean! Carpet in the room was manky. Bathroom was cracking all over place and when i had a shower the water would just go all over the floor and i had to waste towlels !! The toilet roll wasn?t changed. Also the parking is so difficult for the amount i paid for the hotel it should jsut be easy! I will NOT be staying here again that?s for sure.

Dated rooms, bath was dirty, hardly any plug sockets in the family room, flies everywhere at breakfast. On a positive note the lady on the desk was lovely and helpful.

Staff are absolutely amazing here can't do enough for you.
Stayed as a couple here a few times always spotless yestl the building is worn but goes for most building s in Scarborough. The council are responsible for outside and the shows sometimes.
But don't let that take away from the staff here who really care and will always do what they can to help with anything they can.
Special shout out to Michelle lovely lady and fantastic customer service skills

Below the standards of the usual Travelodge hotels. The building is old and the hotel shows that, the corridors are like a maze and has strange smell. The rooms have not been updated and is still the old style which in this day and age is not in line with the other travelodges I've stayed in, however rooms were clean and tidy

The room was clean, but very basic, the breakfast was decent enough and plentiful with lots of choice. The staff were lovely. The overall hotel inside is clean but shabby and there seemed to be a smell of drains in the downstairs lift area. Could do with a good clean outside as it was covered in seagull mess with a strong smell of seagull mess at the front of the hotel although I appreciate this would be hard to maintain in Scarborough with lots of seagulls. We only stayed one night. I personally would not stay there again. It cost us £128 for the double room and £20 extra for an unlimited breakfast. I think £89 for the room would be a reasonable price considering the state the Hotel was in. Good location though.
