Prescription was wrong, out by 0.25!
Not happy with replies to my query and concerns I rebooked a further appointment with another optician, Local Eyes, to confirm.
Specsavers refunded my order except for £5 and I had to pay the new optician £45 as Specsaver had used up my NHS payment.
Staff are lovely but the company system and processes are rushed with little attention for detailed testing. My new optician took far longer with more in-depth tests than the simple Specsaver machines.
Speaking to colleagues two reported the same problem especially with varifocal lenes
The place is always packed, appears overbooked.
You only have one pair of eyes go elsewhere.

Reasonable experience in the long run, was a bit disgruntled that something I said at appointment previously 3yrs ago I mentioned I would be terrified if I had to have surgery at some point in the future ! This was misunderstood ,On the computer that I did not ever want my cataracts sorting , after that it made me sense an attitude from the optician which made me feel Belittled I did not want diabetic control lecture from him having had good result from diabetic tests for almost 20 years .recently retired from 50 years a registered nurse I feel some of the staff need to learn how to smile and put customers at ease it does help . The young man who measured me for new glasses got it so right lovely lad, for their info I would willingly have cataract surgery but will still be a bit scared

Very impressed with Specsavers in Scarborough. Rang up as I have been experiencing persistent headaches following an episode of floaters. Was offered an appointment just 30 minutes later. A scan was done of the back of my eyes and drops put in to enable my retinas to be examined. I was assured that all was well and am very grateful for the prompt and very efficient service.

Other than the optician the rest of the staff and service was shocking, rude and made me feel like an inconvenience! Still waiting 3 weeks later to receive my glasses, 2 appointments made one where I turned up to collect and they weren?t ready then rebook and called to cancel! Really gone down hill and I will not be returning once I have, if ever I get my new glasses.

We had such a positive experience at Specsavers Scarborough. The team was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional from start to finish. They showed great care and understanding when it came to my mum?s eyesight, taking into account the medication she is on and how it might be affecting her vision.
What really stood out was how knowledgeable and attentive the staff were. They took the time to listen carefully, explain everything clearly, and offer thoughtful advice tailored to her needs. The whole process felt unhurried and genuinely caring.
Not only were they professional, but they also had a lovely sense of humour and took the time to chat and make us feel completely at ease. It made the whole experience so much more enjoyable and personal.
Appointments were easy to book, and we didn?t have to wait long at all ? everything ran smoothly and efficiently.
Thank you to the wonderful team at Scarborough Specsavers for making what could have been a stressful visit into such a reassuring and pleasant one. Exceptional service!

Staff here are very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Every step of the way we were given the best care during this,a scheduled eye test.
During a previous emergency eye event I was unfortunate to have, the Specsavers staff did amazingly well, getting me a hospital opthalmology appt that afternoon and setting the wheels in motion for a swift, positive result.
