Don't do your weekly shop between 7am x 8am they don't man any manned checkouts till 8am complaining to self checking supervisor fell on deaf ears sorry was all she could offer. In recent time the checkouts manned have virtually vanished and I won't use self checking as now there is spy TV. installed to keep an eye on you ? ? Combined with Nectar card problems lost £70 points to someone using card in Dunstable Sainsbury's. I'm disabled and only shop with Scarborough store !!!App is unreliable pity you if doing home delivery and add item out of stock....impossinle to check out..I've now had enough of Sainsbury's X after over 5 years. Nectar offer nil support still cannot register my card on Nectar App?! Shame as home delivery drivers pleasant and helpful. Unlike store staff. Self scan did it once X subjected to full rescan on £200 shop. Fun...! Supermarket shopping used to be a nice experience friendly checkouts and simple pricing. No longer all shareholders profit x Management bonus rule the roost....in addition some geek at HQ stopped stores selling organic bread brown from bakery dept. So that helped buying bread now x £200 weekly elsewhere X at Yorkshire bakery....miss Safeway !!! They baked bread from flour versus frozen par bake !!!
I've no internet so cannot activate the personal weekly offers so I've stopped using Sainsbury's completely it's too focused on customer reduction of service X aggressive store vigilance involving now reducing privacy.....I'm no thief Sainsbury's you are with new Nectar rules deprivation of offers if youve no internet access. My friend helped with review using his computer!!!
PS another service issue..Just Park sell spaces to use Sainsbury's car park eg £4 a day or £53 month ?? no doubt Sainsbury's get a slice of the £4 !!! Again no Internet access to access to the deal...more discrimination....to those without internet...I'm in my 70s X disabled....

Just Park app enable us to park here for £4 while visiting the town. Bought nice lunch here before we went exploring and did a spot of shopping on our return. .

I've just returned from an emergency evening shop at Sainsbury's in Scarborough (the large store in Falsgrave).
I used one of the self checkouts wanting to pay cash: then I realised it was card only!
A member of the team was so brilliant.
She saw my shoulders sag and I apologised saying it was my fault.
The lady in question said it was no trouble at all and she transferred my payment to a cash checkout. Fabulous.
Just a big thank to this lady and the rest of the team.

Went to argos today and argos was a great service but needed the loo so went to sainsburys loo and they were absolutely disgusting and told a manager and she didn't seem bothered at all and I mean they were absolutely blocked and water or piss all over the floor , that's the only issues with the place
