Rude, arrogant staff, make you feel like the film, Pretty woman, that you can't afford to shop there...disgusting...total snobery.
Beverley is so much more welcoming with lovely staff...same company....world's apart.
Sometimes I have to go in to the Scarborough store, not through choice, and I always feel dreadful when I come out, the staff are horrible, I have yet to encounter one member of staff that is nice, make you feel like a criminal, I think I will avoid and shop at Sainsbury's when I am in Scarborough again, it's just not worth it, feeling so uncomfortable.

Medium size M&S store with standard food section. I find this great for keto and cheese products. Closes at 6.

This is a lovely M&S serving the Scarborough community. I?ve been in a few times and really like the layout although there never seems to be many staff about.
Clothes etc are over 2 floors and there?s also a good size food hall.
Everything in the food hall was well presented and it was particularly pleasing to see a decent range of Made without wheat products; even better to discover that there were reduced price wraps ( delicious!)

Excellent service today from the M&S Scarborough team. A nicely laid out shop with everything we needed. Just as Markses used to be!

Beautiful shop on the high street. We had a lovely experience with Samantha in menswear who helped us check out. She was so lovely and helpful, and very understanding when I forgot my pin! ?
That experience alone has put M&S in the forefront of my mind for all future shopping needs.

I wanted to thank Amy in the bra department for my shopping experience yesterday. She is a credit to M&S. Her customer service skills and bra fitting expertise was second to none. She was very friendly, approachable, polite and sensitive to customer needs. Her bra fitting skills are excellent and i happy purchased 2 well fitting bras. During my time in the department changing room i witnessed Amy deal with approx 4 other customers who left happily with their puchases.

Love M&S because of good quality food. Pop in before hit back to train station. Need some nibbles for my journey and this massive big store holding big stock on shelves with variety of stuff. Now i can start my journey with peace of mind ?

The staff do not even pay attention to prices, I was charged £5 for a product that was clearly £4 because they misread the product and didn't bother to scan it. When I gave them £4 they firmly corrected me, so I gave them an extra pound to avoid confrontation.

Visited on our day trip out and used the toilet before going to see about bottles of water for my sister, we then found the fridges and my sister purchased two big bottles of water and used my M&S card.

Came into this store to the lady underwear floor, there was a lady with short hair and glasses who I spoke to a member of staff, I asked her if she could help me find a bra that fit and she seemed very disinterested and convinced me the bra I was trying on fit OK and that was my size even though I explained I was splingout of it she said I wasn't, I bought it even though I had doubts....... I find it hard already to find my size in a local storeand I'd travelled to Scarborough in hope I'd walk away satisfied with a fitting bra. This wasn't the case, now I don't know where to turn to shop for my bras definetly can't shop online because you can't try before you buy. But I thought it was abit unprofessional to be dis interested in the customer and to be made to feel like your bothering staff, need to be abit more helpful. Il go to hull next time

Very poor attitude towards old aged pensioners at the Scarborough department ?.. it?s good to know the York department show more respect ..

I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the way my 87-year-old grandmother was treated by the staff at the Scarborough branch last week. She had purchased a jumper that became completely unwearable after being worn only twice, as it started falling apart due to its poor quality. Despite this, the staff were dismissive and disrespectful, simply telling her to ?wash it.?
The jumper had already become bobbly and lost its quality far too quickly. As expected, washing it only made things worse. Yet, the staff still refused to exchange the item, even though other customers have reportedly complained about the same product. This experience caused my grandmother, who is 87 and living on a pension, significant stress and worry. For her, this was a considerable amount of money wasted.
To resolve the issue, my grandmother had to travel to the York store in extremely cold weather. Thankfully, the staff there treated her with respect and promptly exchanged the jumper without any fuss. It was a stark contrast to the dismissive and unhelpful attitude at the Scarborough branch. The staff there could certainly learn a lot from their York colleagues?not just in terms of basic customer service, but also in showing manners and respect.
