Very disappointed
The small fish and chips was the same size, if not smaller, than the regular which was £4+ more expensive
Fish very dry and lacking taste

My wife and I visited the Restaurant last Thursday and while the food and service was excellent the evening was spoilt by a couple who brought in a dog.
This dog was allowed to sit on a chair and was resting its head on the table.
I quite understand that dog owners wish to have the animals with them but they should be kept under the table.
Another couple brought in another dog which was well behaved and kept at the owners feet.
Whilst the dog was sat on the seat the owners were not challenged by the staff and one couple sat near the dog who had not ordered got up and walked out.
Personally I would not wish to sit or use a table where a dog has been and this put us making another visit later in the week.

Could not sample the food as despite there being a sign saying dogs were welcome we were told we could NOT come in with our quiet whippet.

The fish and chips were lovely. Staff were friendly and helpful, although behind the facade we sensed they were a bit fed up. A lot of crashing of cutlery and crockery going on behind us. But it was vile weather so will let them off!

Two out of five oysters were bad. The other three were nice. My tea had a foreign body in it. They took the tea off the bill without me asking. When we told them about the oysters they called the manager. She, without apologising, said the best she can do is take 10% off the bill. I suggested she didn't charge us for bad oysters. I said not to worry it will all go on my YouTube channel (speaker the hat man). Now she shouted at me to be quiet and suddenly found out she can reduce the bill by the price of the two oysters. No apology but fear of social media.
Furthermore this is a venue which welcomes dogs yet it purports to be an up market restaurant.

We ordered Sharing Platter which was disappointing, I would say frozen, All Day Special ok, but at £65 for what we thought was fresh food the meal was expensive, I can buy frozen scampi in the midlands, expected better at coast.

Excellent seafood restaurant, if you want a simple fish supper or more extensive menu like lobster I can highly recommend. We had the fish pie (stacked with fish topped with creamy mash and a layer of mild cheese) and Moule Marnier (more than enough Moules in a creamy garlic sauce). Washed down with a reasonably priced bottle of wine, fantastic.
Parking: Park across the road in the public parking lot on the harbour which is free after 6:00pm
