My honest opinion having recently had to deal with this poor excuse for a Doctors Surgery is FIND ANYWHERE ELSE INSTEAD.I am horrified by the level or in this case total lack of care given to patients. I called on three separate occasions recently to resolve an issue and although Caller Number One in the queue had to wait over 20 minutes on all occasions to speak to someone who then tried to get me off the phone as quickly as possible without listening to what I was saying, understanding the urgency, engaging or trying to work with me to resolve the health concern. All I wanted was a home visit for an elderly relative under their care to address serious failings in her care after been utterly appalled by the state they had left her in when last visiting. They have changed an active, sprightly and sentient 85+ year old into a chair bound, ulcer ridden, sepsis level infected shadow of her former self, shame on them and shame on what they have done to undermine many years good service that patients received for many years from Dr Scarborough and his team there.Since his departure the care levels have seriously dropped and over a period of 5 years have gone from a highly recommended, caring, professional practice into something that in my opinion should be closed down for the good of their patients.Suffice to say the wheels are in motion to move my relative away from them as quickly as possible, she had until the last five years really felt safe, well looked after and cared for by this practice, she stayed with them out of loyalty and a belief that things would get better. Well it did today, not due to them, due to getting the documents filled in to sign her up to a new practice.Attached are pictures of what I was faced with when I walked in to see her, the smell was awful, the oozing, seeping, weeping and debris attached appalling, that a doctor had been out recently and was more concerned with taking a stool sample just because she felt a little constipated rather than taking in the smell in the room and engaging with where the real problem was a shining example of the ineptitude of the practice. These types of things are not because the NHS is crippled by the government it is because it is becoming more of a numbers game with the more patients taken on the more revenue for the practice, with the lack of staff the care is split over more and more patients meaning this happens, far to easily ? care is not about profit making for a company it is about care, caring, having the desire to want to help people and the will and support to do it. NOT to make as much money with the least amount of staff and hope the ones falling through the net are not noticed.

Awful experience as always. Since Covid started all services had moved online. It is extremely difficult to get face to face appointment or even to get a referral to a specialist. How can they prescribe medication based on photos taken by mobile phone? Is this what they call the cutting edge of medical science? RIP NHS

Tried to get in contact with Falsgrave about a year ago about some mental health issues, they said they couldn't help, bit if I went privately to sort these issues, they could help under "shared care".I have recently been put forward for the shared care to go from private to the NHS for the meds I started on. The shared care paperwork was sent to Falsgrave over a week ago, was told to give them a few days for them to get the paperwork, which I did, and they have just got back to me today to say they have finally found the forms, but they won't help with the shared care meds prescriptions. This isn't the first time i've had problems with Falsgrave Surgery/the haxby group, highly recommended to find dr's who care for their patients, DO NOT USE THE HAXBY GROUP

Honestly can?t stress how unhelpful and unsympathetic the staff here are. Staff have an inability to admit to their mistakes, nor take any accountability whatsoever for their incompetence. An example of the ineptitude on display here is their inaction to update the phone number on Google, despite changing two years ago.

I am disappointed with the lack of communication and customer service provided by Haxby Group Scarborough. Despite being directed to contact the clinic online to request an appointment, the online enquiries are currently disabled with no clear explanation provided apart from the service is not available until 7am Tommorow. The receptionist's statement that the clinic has given out enough appointments for the day is not a valid reason for the unavailability of the online contact service. This lack of accessibility is especially problematic for patients with sleeping patterns or mental health issues that make it difficult for them to make phone calls during regular business hours. In addition, I have also experienced difficulty reaching customer service via email and prolonged wait times on phone calls. It is imperative that healthcare providers prioritize timely and efficient communication with their patients. I hope that Haxby Group Scarborough will address these issues and improve their customer service in the future.

Years ago when the practice was at Peasholm Park this was an excellent doctors. Since moving the service is terrible, you can't get an appointment, the doctor doesn't call you back, you never get the same doctor when you do get an appointment. The staff are always pleasant, that's about it

Unfortunately have to edit my comments due to a change in Dr system. Try getting a non urgent appointment, be pretty wait weeks, if its urgent you have to ring be 8 am on the day. Good luck ringing as being number 35 in the queue you can imagine how long it will be. Sick ro death of the repetitive 3 min covid message now, we all know the protocol by now. This surgery has taken on far too many patients, no parking, available either if you live out of town you obvious can't walk it.All Dr's I knew have now retired so I can not comment on new ones.I have been a patient for about 40 years also my children from birth. (25 and 21)F Helpful staff. Clean, organised. Lift and chemist. Just difficult now getting appointment and waiting times can be long.

Do not join. To get an appointment is impossible. Receptionist can't explain why it's happening but simple says changed surgery.

I cannot express the horrific experience we have had with this surgery. The doctors care more about following broken "processes" that they have put into place to try and manage workload, than providing basic care for their patients. But unfortunately these processes don't work. Even someone with the most basic business knowledge can see this. And by providing a low level of care in the first place, they are in turn causing themselves more work.My father begged for a face to face appt, having lost four stone, having aches and pains, a rash, night sweats. For most drs this would raise a red flag.... Not at this surgery. The Drs wouldn't see him. After 6 months of repeatedly being misdiagnosed we eventually went through the hospital and he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer.Any complaints were met with attitude, particularly from the partner GP.I have never in my life known a doctor get a receptionist to call back to discuss the perscription of pain medications for a terminally ill patient..... Until we dealt with falsgrave surgery. When I raised this to the partner, the response I received was pompus, shovenistic and and patronising. The partner doctor cared more about being right than he did treating my father. During my phone call with him, instead of asking how he was, he argued with me over his processes. All we had asked for was continuity of care. And for support when we needed it most.I have friends who work in the medical field, and they were disgusted by this practice. We have now moved to a practice that is providing us basic care, which is 100000 times better the care provided at this surgery.I am so lucky that we had friends in the medical field that told us to switch, i cannot imagine the poor care that the hundreds of other elderly patients are receiving who don't have the support we did. If you have family members here I would highly recommend moving them.I would like to add a note that one incredible nurse took initiative when she saw my dad's case on the system, came to our house and delivered what we had been needing for months. Support, care and basic medical attention. To her we are forever greatful.

Very disappointing service. They don?t seem to follow up on test results. I?ve just queried test done 10 days ago and was told the surgery does not follow up on tests as the have 28000 patients. She told me the patient is expected to chase up various different hospital departments and then chase up the surgery to ascertain if they have them then arrange further appointments. They also muddled up my left leg for my right leg causing additional delays. I can?t say I?m impressed.

After calling last Friday I was told to ring this morning, so bang on 08.00 I call. You are caller number two, great !After an hour and six minutes being told I was still caller number two I gave up. Even I do not have unlimited patience or time to listen to that mind numbing recording. This surgery used to be excellent, what happened (and don't blame it on covid) ???Update, getting worse, almost impossible to book anything on line, seems unavailable more than available. Joke really, seeing as the message given is that using online services are easier and more efficient. Would be if the website was actually open !!!Latest update, now looks like yet another visit to A&E. My request for a face to face with a doctor about an ongoing issue is fobbed off with the now normal, "we aim to have contacted you within 4 to 5 weeks" response. The issue will be beyond treatment by then more than likely !
