The curtains in the main bedroom were faded and fraying ... definitely time to shop around for some new ones.
After all, they were coming up for 15 years of age so it was definitely time for a change.
Scarborough Dunelm is large, yet has clear signage so you can head straight for the department you need.
I found the curtain area easily.
I liked the way there were descriptions as to each curtain type, how they are 'hung' and the sizes were clearly visible.
I chose some 'blackout' grey curtains ('Lunar') and they fit perfectly.
The staff on the till were happy to answer my questions and there was even a discount at the till, which was a nice surprise, as the curtains I chose were part of a special offer.

Hhmm. Was once on the mirror aisle and a load of mirrors came crashing down missing my head by millimeters. I felt one brush the back of my shoulder. They shouldn't have been stacked that way. Another time a load of flat pack plastic boxes of some sort came crashing down behind me. Again, badly and dangerously stacked on a high shelf. One of the staff didn't care and simply suggested filling in an accident report. So, I am cautious when in there. Can't be just me it's happened to.

Not a particularly exciting shop but I was only looking for a few items for my camper van. I did manage to find what I was looking for at half price so I was quite pleased. I have formed the opinion that Scarborough isn't a town where people do any serious shopping, because the majority of shops carry very limited lines. But anyway they can be useful when you're pushed for time.
