Went for lunch with family and pub had about 3 tables in and waited 45 min for food however it was worth the wait excellent food. Visited today although the weather has been bad we couldn't get over how bad the back has started to look. every single table and chair was mouldy and dirty we actually had to ask for blue roll to clean before we sat down. All the covered areas had mold and covered in lots of cobwebs all over. Looked very unloved. Extansion leads damp and covered in cobwebs. The back garden used to be so nice.. What a shame.

Called in here during our weekend visit to Scarborough very dog friendly which was handy for us , lovely drinks didn?t have food but liked nice , the staff here extremely nice and polite. Would definitely recommend coming here.

Had a lovely evening in the Courtyard. We all had a warm welcome, including our dog. Bowl of water supplied. We both had the steak and Stilton salad which was excellent, lots of tender steak and very tasty. Attractive interior and lovely bar staff. Would recommend

It's a beautiful place to go to. The ambience, the service, the food, all are lovely. The one point lacking is the price of wine...for a 175ml £6, normally I would expect that for 250ml.

Locals usually get a discounted price but I was charged 50p over and above the usual price for regular customers!

Omg love this place soooo much. Went in and its fully decorated for Halloween which I love. The staff were really friendly and service was quick. When food arrived it was piping hot and all fresh cooked which now a days is hard to find. Would highly recommend

We visited here for a meal and a few drinks, the meal was outstanding, the steak was like butter just sliced it so easily, the chips were beautiful same with the salad and onion rings. When we are back in Scarborough we will visit again for sure!

Had 3 days away In Scarborough and came across this the first night.dog friendly which is great for us.staff all friendly nothing too much trouble.ordered burger and chips wow was delicious and fresh .went every night during our stay and never changed always good.great beer looked after well and every night was busy.defiinitely will return when next in area

There are not many venues in scarborough town centre with outdoor seating, so when the weather is hot many people head for the Courtyard. It was very busy when we arrived, and we couldn?t see a spare seat outside, we were just about to leave when a couple offered us their table as they were just leaving. My husband went to order drinks. As I sat there I couldn?t be my eyes! The outside decking was absolutely filthy, this place needs a good deep clean, cracked tiles in the toilets and a worn out sofa on the landing. Definitely in need of a re-furb!

we can here on spec, as the hotel we were staying at the food was rotten. We had no idea if we could get in is what it would be like. It was a Friday early evening, our last night before we headed back to Scotland. Not only did we get in, we had a lovely table, staff were friendly and the food was delicious. Very reasonable for what we got. The food was to die for. We all got different things and each meal was better than the rest. Highly recommend

Our family was turned away for food as there was 8 of us(too large a group) we were also told even if we ordered desperately in two groups of 4 they would not serve us. This was at 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon when hardly anyone in and no one else near us was eating! Don?t understand how a restaurant in this time after covid can be affording to knock back at £100 from us before drinks when it was quiet!!

Love this place! Staff friendly, food always good, we have been when it?s extremely busy and also less busy and you are always told if there?s a long time during busy times which does really help as it?s the not knowing that frustrates customers. A credit to a busy bar/restaurant

We came for a weekend stay arriving on Friday and so eating here that evening was a no-brainer for us. Excellent food served by staff who were polite and friendly in an atmosphere where you know children are not going to spoil it for other diners. A laid back convivial setting and a great start to our break. We had the curry and thoroughly enjoyed it and we will be back here next time we stay in Scarborough

We drove to our hotel and passed this pub thinking what we fancied for tea, the pictures of the place online do it no justice. We checked it is dog friendly before we went and then chose to try it. The staff were very welcoming, they explained its only dog friendly outside which was no issue the majority is covered up and there is heat lamps and fairy lights everywhere you look which is perfect. We sat in a corner we have named the snug, it was cosy and you could be anywhere in the world in the bubble. My only negative is that the staff DO NOT explain the portion sizes. Myself and my partner ordered nachos to share to start, THEY WERE HUGE, they would've fed 4-6 people. And the chip to topping ratio was unreal. Best nachos we've ever had and so full of tasty goodness. However we were full at that point. However we ordered mains at the same time, so then came out a 12oz rump steak and a double chicken and pulled pork burger again huge portions and so good quality. The flavours were amazing not cheap or rubish quick heated stuff. Proper chips too! We were stuffed! Approximately £60 for all that food and a bottle of white wine we didn't think was at all bad. We sat in our corner for hours chatting to strangers. We felt very welcomed as did our dogs and cannot wait to return. We stayed at the bike and boot which isn't far and is also fantastic. Thankyou so much, we will be back ?
