Lad serving was very polite... Old Las ambling about wasn't interested.. missus ordered a breakfast which she actually gagged on. Never seen a sausage of such disgusting quality . My eggs had something unsavoury and crunchy in them. Wish I'd read previous reviews before sitting down and putting my self through the trauma

Not very nice. Stunk of grease, everything was sticky including the laminated menus. The Smoo milkshake was horrible and still had lumps of powder in the bottom. I understand it's a typical old English greasy spoon cafe however there still has to be certain standards that need to be met, and this doesn't meet them at all.

After walking past several cafes being full, we took a chance with this one. Now we know why the others were full! We sat down to a very sticky table with menus to match! After going to the counter to order, we saw that there was only the young lad serving and a very elderly lady in the back, bless her. The prices were steep with very little included. Had to pay separately for drinks and toast, after ordering 2 full English breakfast?s and 2 bacon rolls. A bit of a wait, to which the elderly lady came out with our food. The food was poor quality to go along with being poorly cooked. The bacon was still squealing and the fried bread was saturated with grease. They forgot our toast, so after a reminder it came after we had all eaten. It was buttered with stork magerine, which made the toast go soggy. Hate to leave a bad review, but constructive criticism is a learning curve. The young lad lacked confidence. The windows needed to be open to let the smell of lard out that they used back in the day. With some support, hygiene and guidance, and maybe the elderly lady, stepping back a little, this could improve, after all breakfast?s and sandwiches are surely basic. We don?t know about it being no1 cafe, more no 1 cafe for heart disease with the amount of grease left on our plates.

Called in this cafe at the weekend for a small breakfast. Floor was a bit wet as it had been raining (fair enough we thought) breakfast came the fried egg was swimming in grease had to use a tissue to try & mop most of it up. There seemed to be no air filters in this cafe, none of the Windows looked as though opened. By the time we left our eyes were smarting with the fat/grease and the smell lingered on our clothes they smelled so bad all our clothes had to be washed. They really need to get some sort of air filters in this place.

Had lunch here yesterday. We got 2x Bacon & sausage rolls, Jacket tatty with chilli. The food was was pretty good, nothing special & the prices were reasonable. There were two young lads on the till/service & they were pleasant & well mannered

disgusting service and owners, telling my autistic brother to shut up, considering he?s only young too because he was getting excited then didn?t care that she was being discriminating, then staff were being very abusive to my parents and grandparents and making threats. wouldnt ever recommended this awful place at

Let?s start with a good honest review as always the place has a old lady front of house that looked like she would rather be anywhere else we ordered 2 breakfasts an orange and a tea the lady forgot the tea after waiting 10 mins for it I went and reminded her and she rude and disrespectful snapping at me over all the place is filthy with bugs and cobwebs and lastly there was a couple with the pet dog sat on the table next to us when I made a complaint the little old dear said it wasn?t her problem so tbh I?d AVOID!

Having called in this ""cafe"" today for ""breakfast"" to be met by a very aged struggling lady on the till who took our order her attitude not nice or friendly we gave our order for a large breakfast and a small breakfast which when they cum out did not look nice sausage cheap and nasty cold plum tomatoes frazzled chewy bacon crispy cremated black pudding eggs looked like they had been flattened by a steam roller and the fried bread so greasy its a heart attack waiting to happen on a plate it looked like had been fried several times and left sitting in the fat even the pot of tea wasnt great cups were dirty. In fact its two years since i was last in that cafe the food and service still as bad as last time the cafe feels like its stuck in the 1970's and needs complete revamp to bring it in to the 21st century including repainting inside new tables chairs and a new younger front counter staff who has the energy enthusiasm politness to deal with a busy cafe not an elderly lady who didnt seem able to cope as cafe got busy long waits for food drinks to come out which resulted in either food or drink cold and when mentioned to lady on counter her reply was none existent. It seems like they are serving the cheapest produce yet charging dear prices for cheap food.The only reason we stopped here as i was in pain with my knee but I am sorry i did not persevere thru the pain and find a cafe that served edible food and served drinks in clean cups I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS CAFE.
