Two stars because it's a very good cause and charity. But you should not feel like you are being mugged when you go in to buy something from a charity shop. Found a perfect table but it had no chairs. Neighbouring table slightly larger but in a lot poorer condition had 8 chairs. Asked if we could buy 4 of the chairs. Person went and asked, came back said the manager wanted nearly the same amount for 4 as they did 8. The delivery costs are also ridiculous, they must be the worst charity shop. So we left and won't be going back.

Bought something on EBay from BHF in Scarborough last week collected it today .

Two hours of driving (due to grid lock traffic) to collect drawers I reserved the day before. They were not there, and I was told they'd probably been sold. I'd enquired about the drawers previously and was told they'd been sold, only for them to appear again, so I expect they've been stored somewhere rather than sold. Never stepping foot in this time-wasting place again.
And buyer beware, it's £38 for delivery, beating even IKEA.

Ethan and Wayne delivered the chest of drawers and bedside tables sold to me by the always helpful Dave, the Manager.
They were both very polite, helpful and speedy in bringing the items upstairs for me and placing them in the room. Thanks guys! This is the sort of excellent service I've come to expect of BHF! Maggie, a very satisfied customer.

Called in looking to see what Electric heaters were on offer. 1 secondhand and new 6 plus and oil filled radiator as well. Helpful friendly staff and £25 local delivery no matter how many items you choose. ???

This is a decent little charity shop, definitely worth a look inside if like me you enjoy taking a look in these types of shops.You might find yourself a bargain.

I understand you are going fully digital ie cashless. I for one won't be shopping with you when this happens. it is wrong to take away people's choice regarding method of payment. I predict that you will lose a lot of custom because of this.

Great customer service from start to finish. Alice served me in the shop, found me a bedframe in the back that was perfect for me and arranged a delivery date and time which worked around my requirements. Delivery was also prompt and easy thanks to Jamie (?) the driver and his assistant. I'll definitely be using BHF again. ?

Really great customer service from start to finish, from Alice helping me to find the right bed for me and finding a delivery date and time to fit around my plans instore, to a friendly and prompt delivery. I'll definitely be using this shop again

Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. Very appreciative of donations. Impressed with young man who took a furniture item out of my car, concerned that he didn't scratch it. Happy to gift aid as young lady filled in the form at the door so I could watch my car. Well done!

Waited in all day for collection, never turned up and said they had tried to ring me but of course no calls on my phone....... . Much easier to pop 1 mile to tip and jobs done. Never again.

If you can find another way to unload your unwanted furniture, take it.BHF are not particularly friendly or polite. They are vague about when they will turn up, and expect you to stay in all day to wait for them. Then they are prone to rejecting half of what you offer - so you end up having to hire another van anyway.
