Worst experience ever!!!!! Transfered £50 from my lloyds account so I can open a saving account with them becauss they had a very good deal eith the rainy saver ans blue rewards, they made me go back again 4 times spent £7 on copies for the end to be ?your account is closed and sorry? no explanation so they made go 4 times in the same day spent money so they?ll close my account and give me MY money back, felt like a criminal for £50

Having closed their branch in Ripley and directed me to the one in Alfreton, Barclays then closed the Alfreton branch, as I discovered a couple of weeks back, after taking the 2-bus journey and uphill walk to get there. I have tried and failed with On-line banking and I needed to speak with a Customer Services rep, so while I was enjoying a T&T break at the Grand in Scarborough I took the opportunity to call in the lovely Barclays there. Teresa dealt with my issues calmly and professionally, and told me what to expect in consequence. The gentlemen who were assisting customers, who welcomed everyone politely as they came in and gave help as requested, were also excellent at their job. I greatly appreciated the kindness and care provided by the staff at Barclays in Scarborough.

Joke of a bank. States that it closes at 3:30pm online (already a pathetic time to close a bank, what about us people that work 9-5pm?!) Managed to slip away from work before the specified closing time on Google, only to be told that the desk closes at 2pm so I wouldn?t be able to deposit change as only the automated machines are operating? You?re a bank and I can?t deposit legal tender? What?s the point in being open past 2pm if this is the case as you can?t provide hardly any banking services. I then asked if I could do it tomorrow (a Saturday) and was told no the desk isn?t open on weekends. I have never heard anything so ridiculous. Think it is time I changed bank provider as I haven?t heard of any other banks doing this.

Made special journey on Saturday morning as I'm working other times . Nobody on customer service desk on Saturdays so I was told . Pretty useless.

Used to be amazing but since they've removed human tellers for machines it's terrible. When you actually get a member of staff they're great. Sometimes you just need a human. Visited on Saturday when there's no human teller (super helpful for those of us that work Monday to Friday!) and the poor lady had to tell a customer "we don't have any access to cash on a Saturday." She was uber polite but NO ACCESS TO CASH??????? In a bank????? Barclays are clearly all about the profit not about the customer. Shame on them. After 30 years of banking I'm out.

A large slow moving queue just to get inside the building. Only one manned counter when you eventually do get inside.Not many staff inside. Allow at least an hour to get any personal service.Streets behind the service standards at the Halifax Bank.

I went to Barclays Bank this morning only to find out after it opened at 09.30 am that No counter services were open to do my business until 10.30am.When this is the case it should be clearly be indicated on line, to avoid customers wasting valuable time.

Been to this branch this morning, nothing on website to tell you counter is only open from 10.30 for personal banking , having travelled from hunmanby to get there for 9.30 opening was told I would have to wait outside in the rain until 10.30, this branch is actually open for 18 hours per week to use counter for personal banking which the manager considers full time, get in the real world this service during a pandemic is pitiful and pathetic, all of us doing a 40 hour week would like to be reduced to full time (18 hours) absolute joke.

Absolutely disgrace the way the young man speaks to people..checked times before going states 4pm so I go to cash a cheque NO it closes at 2pm but nothing on website to let you know this but you can use machines pay in etc on machines ..no I need to cash a cheque his whole attitude stunk will be bk Monday to officially complain..

Now the only Barclays in Scarborough, smack bang in the middle of the town. Impractical to get to and use, as a self employed business owner. In the summer months getting to and from the bank can be a 1 hour round trip. When they had the bank's at Falsgrave and Scalby Road it was so much easier to get to and a lot less time taken up finding parking spaces and stuck in traffic.
