We popped in for a lunchtime drink and very quiet. Our server was friendly but seemed quite frantic, even though we made the order at the bar. We also ordered some fries for a snack. They appeared to forget about these and I followed up after 30mins and someone when to find them. Back can four small pots of chips, which were certainly not value for money at £4 per pot. I can imagine service being carnage if it was really busy.

Very welcoming and friendly place. We came for a drink and stayed for dinner and it was excellent. Very friendly, attentive and accommodating staff and the salmon we ordered was delicious. Definitely worth a try if you?re in the area. We had a great time - thank you so much ?

I was spoken to very rudely by a boy who works here yesterday. My best friend died recently and we were went there to toast his birthday with his children. My husband and I went to the bar to buy some drinks and I was ferrying the drinks backwards and forwards when this boy pulled me over and rudely demanded to know what I was doing. I looked at him oddly wondering what on earth he mean't. He said they had an event on and that we had to sit down and wait for someone to come to us to be served. Having been there several times before and always being served at the bar I had no idea how he expected us to know thats what they wanted us to do this time. I forgot to bring a crystal ball with me.
I asked what was I supposed to do now, just leave? He said you can get your drinks. So why even stop me and be so rude about it when its obvious the drinks had already been bought? He needs training in Customer Service asap.
The barman was happy to serve us at the bar per usual, and there was no signage to tell us of any event, or that we were not allowed to be served at the bar.
Due to emotions running understandably high that day I left my drink on the table, walked to the beach and sat and cried for the next half hour. Over the loss of my beautiful friend who would do anything for anyone, and the fact that others are on rhis earth that appear to enjoy hurting people for no reason
We have taken friends there previously and needless to say that will never happen again. None of us will be back.

Would give 0 stars for food if I could. Ordered a medium rare ribeye steak with mac and cheese and mushrooms and a chicken Parmesan with chips. Only thing edible was the mushrooms and chips. Steak was overcooked (waitress put it down to lighting in the restaurant when we complained) and not seasoned, cut of meat was subpar. Both Mac and cheese and chicken parm tasted extremely bland and unseasoned as well. Not just us but we heard the other 2 tables around us complaining about the same. Ended up giving us only 10% off our bill but could have done better seeing as half the food was inedible. Looking at the reviews on google looks like we?re not the only ones that think so and they?ve not changed at all.
Avoid at all cost if you like your food seasoned.

Food delicious, spotless clean restaurant. Lovely view overlooking the sea. Really friendly and professional young staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, will definitely be back. Most enjoyable.

Visited Tomahawk Saltburn for a birthday meal and was really disappointed. The restaurant looks great, but service was slow ? drinks took 15 minutes, and no staff checked in on us during the wait.
I had the parmo and my partner had fish and chips. The fish was burnt, and my parmo had eggshell in the coating. I ended up with a mouthful and had to spit it out. I couldn?t eat any more, and while I was refunded, I wasn?t offered a replacement meal.
Not the standard I?d expect from Tomahawk ? a real letdown on a special occasion.

Went to tomahawk today, there was maybe 3 tables seated, we waited by the sign for 10-15 minutes waiting for someone to come seat us, had to go find a worker who then took us to a table and we ordered our drinks, 2x soft drinks baring in mind, we waited around 30 minutes for these drinks and they didn?t arrive so we left, extremely disappointed

Lovely waiting staff but food was poor considering the cost. The meat was dry and when mentioned to staff did not get any form of response other than repeating our issue. Probably happy as most trade is passing but we go to Saltburn-By-The-Sea fairly regularly and won?t be going back to Tomahawk again.

Vista Mar was much better. I'm afraid unless your idea of fun is an all-inclusive in Antalya and taking your frenchie for a walk to B&M to get some more live, laugh, love stickers, you'll be disappointed.
Really disappointed with food here. After waiting for 20 minutes for a waiter to take our orders, we then waited another hour for our food. Bearing in mind the restaurant was basically empty.
When the food arrived, we were pretty disappointed. The £80 sharing board might be okay if its two small children sharing, but for two grown adults it was absolutely not worth the money. Definitely more focused on being instagrammable than actually enjoyable. Also, lukewarm chips don't really hit the spot.
Not to mention the fact we then got charged for two sauces that we're meant to be included in the food anyway, and didnt actually get any cutlery and had to source this ourselves. Not great at all, I wont be recommending this to anyone else.

Went here today for lunch, as the weather was beautiful and wanted lunch by the sea (the view was beautiful). I have been to Tomahawk restaurants on numerous occasions and have always had a pleasant experience. I have never visited the Saltburn branch and I was less than impressed. I have never made a google review but this experience was so unpleasant that I felt the need. The restaurant wasn?t particularly busy and we waited an hour and twenty minutes for our food to arrive. After waiting such a ridiculous amount of time for our food, my fillet steak was overcooked and my boyfriend?s burger was extremely dry. We complained about my steak and were told it would be a 20 minute wait for another medium rare steak. We decided to just eat as we were very hungry after the long wait. The bill was subsidised at the end of the meal, however our waiter was very reluctant to do so. Very disappointing considering I have always had positive experiences at Tomahawk restaurants. Will not be returning after this experience unfortunately.

We happened to come across this restaurant while visiting a few coastal resorts, the steak was not very nice at all, in comparison the day before we had the same steaks at the dormouse in York and paid exactly half of the price and they were fantastic, if you are going to charge a fraction less than £40 per steak they should be excellent, this place was not.
