Visited for a drink and enjoyed lovely service and a great atmosphere. The food on our second night was mediocre at best. Yes the pie was okay with plenty of meat but the chicken was microwaved frozen and the sides were also microwaved within an inch of their lives. Disappointing for the price.

Ideal location for campsite and Rosedale show. Good selection of home cooked food, well presented, great value and delicious. Excellent beer and wine. Excellent service. Dog friendly.

Well, cannot say much about the food as we went there on our way back from RHB and got there at 15:40 and they do not serve food between 14:30 and 17:30. So if you wanna go there, mind that ?

What a surprise this was. My hubby and I both had the pie and I have to say it was gorgeous,everything about it the chips but especially the pie and gravy. The women serving behind the bar was very pleasant and my hubby thought her perfume smelt amazing so win win for me. A lovely lunch and some new perfume

While staying in the village we went to the Coach House twice.
First, a Sunday roast- which was superb. Secondly, last night I had the Thai fishcakes (good choice!) and hubby had the fish & chips - which absolutely beat him!
There?s a really good chef working at this place and overall we couldn?t fault the place nor the rest of the staff.
Efficient service too. Win win?..

Had a Sunday dinner today. We stayed in the camp site over the road. 2 adults and 1 child, all enjoyed it and very quick service.

I took friends in today for lunch, we all enjoyed a delicious main course, but decided to also have a dessert, we certainly weren?t disappointed, the sticky toffee pudding was amazing, huge portions and it was so light with a dreamy toffee sauce! Compliments to Jamie, 5 star ?? xxx

We visited The Coach House on Tuesday, what a lovely place! A
very welcoming place with a homely feel, great menu and wine list! The food was amazing, make sure you have a good appetite as the portions were very generous and delicious. The staff were lovely too! Definitely be visiting again!

Great Sunday roast..thick slices of beef, crispy Yorkshire pud and a big jug of thick gravy. Delicious. £13 for "small" portion (not small by any means) £15 for large. Lovely setting and very spacious

Unwelcoming staff. Ordered lamb, they bought out beef. When I mentioned it, they weren't interested. One small veg bowl between two large roasts. Gravy was already over the meal before being brought to the table. Poor quality lemonade. Wouldn't recommend it.

Called in for lunch today after our walk over from Lastingham. Had been here a few years ago and loved the food so called again. Wasn't disappointed. Lovely steak pie with mash (other options)and veg and my wife had Chicken Korma with nan. Both delicious washed down with a lovely light ale. Prompt service too. All fuelled up for our walk up Chimney Bank and back over to Lastingham? Thanks guys.

Yet another wonderful meal at the coach house. Dave, Tina and the team are fabulous and make you feel so welcome. I had the fish and it was beautiful.
