Cozy little pub.Extremely rude bar person. (A young female)Real ale quality was sub standard.Take your trade somewhere else where the bar person is more welcoming and not as rude.I wouldn't mind paying £14 odd if the real ale was of a decent quality and the staff were friendly.Food & drinks: Avoid the real ale. The Guinness alternative was decent though

Dog friendly, but NOT people friendly! Such a miserable staff member serving, that let the whole place and atmosphere down. I warned a couple as they were walking in, and once I went back past the bar, they said "you were right". Lovely inside, but totally let down by the sour face serving, who has no personality or customer service whatsoever - A few people walked in to ask about food, to be bluntly told it wasn't until 4pm, as though they were a hindrance...

Lovely bar .The owners have done a great job refurbishing the bar while retaining the character and feel of the bar.Lovely pizza and drink served by pleasant staff.I would recommend this bar.

Cosy, friendly, atmospheric bar right next to the sea. Perfect place to relax and enjoy a refreshing pint after a long walk from Whitby.

Absolutely love it here. Staff are amazing. They even let me bring my own vegan cheese in so I could enjoy a pizza which was the best ive had in a long time. Made mt night even better. Thank you

We ate last night at Smugglers, what a fabulous atmosphere the place was buzzing. We had lovely wines and delicious pizzas. The staff were very good. We were a table of eight and all homeowners in the Bay and are delighted we have another place to eat . ?

Lovely place, reasonable food, horrible owner... ssriously the worst attitude for a hospitality owner, like a female Basil Fawlty on a bad day,...vote with your feet and eat elsewhere, trust me.

This is a little gem quirky and cosy with excellent toilet facilities. The owners are really friendly and welcoming even though they were serving food at that time but offered us coffee and even catered for me with their own Oat milkWalkability: 2 minute walk from the beach

We had a great evening in the pub. The staff were so helpful bringing drinks to the table. We ordered the pies. Very tasty and reasonably priced.They allowed the dogs in and brought them treats and water.Would definitely recommend

Cosy, dog friendly beer stop at the foot of the hill. Handpulled cask beers were Lady Luck North Pale Ale, Lady Luck Chocolate Orange Stout and Lady Luck Shipwreck Blonde. Interesting tankard and brass light fittings á la steampunk mode.
