We loved this Cafe for breakfast, the owner was great, really friendly and made a best friend in my little 6 year old boy who wanted to go back and see him everyday ! Had the best sausage and egg sandwiches! Latte was lovely too. We will visit again

Good sandwich although expensive but owner rude, didn't like us pointing out there was no soap in toilets and was generally bad tempered.

We popped in for a quick drink and a scone before climbing back up the hill!
The cafe was lovely and clean and the owner, very helpful and friendly. My oat latte was really nice, and the scone was beautifully light with plenty of jam and cream. I really cannot understand the negative reviews, as we thought everything was fantastic! Would definitely recommend ?

My advice would be to keep walking past this place.
Shocking customer service with a loud mouth rude owner/staff who needs to know how to make a coffee and not a pot of milky froth.
Wouldn?t give any stars to be honest but just wanted to warn people off.
Beautiful part of the world but always one muppet spoils the place

Dreadful experience. Dirty tables, stewed tea, terrible service, and the owner seriously needs to learn some customer service skills and employ some more staff. He was a rude stresshead and he created a horrible vibe in his cafe. Never again.

Lovely café with friendly, quick service. Had a warm fresh scone, jam and the biggest helping of clotted cream ever served. Definitely recommend

Absolutely fantastic café.
We took the family here last weekend when visiting the bay the the food and service was amazing
We came back to the bay just as a couple this weekend as a short escape and as soon as we walked in the café we received the same great service. Plus he remembered the kids, was nice and friendly and helpful too
Great food, great atmosphere and great prices
Definitely recommend a visit here, especially to refuel before climbing the hill out of the bay!!

Basil Fawlty insisted he keep the door open on a cold day whilst customers sat with coats and scarves on shivering, get a Greg's pasty, surround it with salad and a pot of coleslaw and voile, £17 charge, kerr ching! Also cake tasted a bit stale.

Stopped here by chance on our last morning staying in the village. We couldn?t resist the big tasty breakfast baps! Good hearty food all round. The panini menu for lunch looked lovely too.

Fabulous Food. The host welcomed us, five adults, in a friendly open manner. Our coffees and stotties were brought to us by an equally helpful server. The stotties were full of flavour, well presented and were greatly enjoyed by all.
We?ll definitely return another time.

Stopped after a long walk for a breakfast bun, sausage egg bacon, and black pudding. It was absolutely amazing and a lovely hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows as well.
And we couldn't turn down a slice of millionaire shortbread.
The gentleman who served up was friendly and welcoming.

Would have preferred my tea in a pot not a teabag in a cup .Lovely coffee cake but my raspberry cake was dry .The owner liked to chat, but we had to pick up our cake and drinks ourselves from the counter !

There's a lovely cafe next door. One that doesn't have a passive aggressive owner who enjoys listening to the football just about as much as indirectly berating his customers for having a wet dog on his stone floor (not us, the friendly couple on the next table who couldn't have been more friendly). If you like a cafe where the owner sighs and rolls their eyes when you ask what the cakes are, patronises his young staff and makes the atmosphere really tense - then this is the place for you. So sorry for entering your living room, carry on with your football, please let me give you my money for the inconvenience. Thank you to the young man who served us, you have the patience of a saint. Avoid.

Beautiful breakfast butties and a warm brew. Lovely friendly staff and dog (if dry) friendly.
The rating doesn?t do this place justice
