The water rat is a friendly pub, with good beers and good food. Sunday carvery is worth doing but best book.

Delightful. Cosy (we were a bit chilly after watching a nearby murmuration), delicious food, attentive and friendly service. Would love to return in summer and sit by the river. Good old Ratty!
Vegetarian options: Our veggie friends were very happy! Good selection of zero alcohol drinks.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten free no problem

Booked a table waited a while for food as had two vegetarians and food had to be cooked. Apart from that all good would visit again.

Never been to this pub before and it was a great find. Staff were excellent, friendly and attentive. Pub is situated on the river bank and is wonderfully lit inside due to the large windows overlooking the water. We had two of the burgers, one with proper chicken breast and the other well stacked with 2 quarter pounders in. Both reasonably priced. Nice choice of ales with the best being "Funky Monkey". Loved it. Thank you.
