Amazing hotel and restaurant. A fabulous historic building right next to Ripon Cathedral, steeped in history.
Plenty of on sight free parking. A stone's throw from everything to experience in Ripon City Centre.
The breakfast is stunning and the food created by Head Chef Adam Jackson is exceptional.
There is an extensive wine list.
Service is personal, friendly and professional.
Dogs are welcomed.
The decor is quirky and the building itself has kept its original charm.

Came here to eat and not stay so cannot speak on the quality of the bedrooms. Sunday lunch was excellent. Faultless cooking and great value.

First impressions: entrance area shabby, staff friendly, but greeted us with, ?And how are we today?? as though we were small children or imbeciles, our room dingy and ill-lit. Pleasant view of the garden, bed comfortable, shower effective, but one mirror was behind the television, the other showed only the top of my head! Perhaps a bit more attention to detail needed. This was room 6 - the others may be much better.
The ?breakfast banquet?was served in a pleasant room, but there were dead daffodils on the table, as on all the other tables visible. We were presented with only one choice: orange juice or smoothie. Granola was put before us which I explained I do not like, but I was offered no alternative. Tiny pieces of meat, fish and cheese were presented along with half a slice of excellent homemade sourdough and, strangely, pain au chocolat and jam, both to precede the ?deconstructed? English breakfast which was meagre, more style than substance.
Overall, we found this hotel overpriced and underwhelming. We won?t be staying there again.

Me and my fiance stayed in "the old deanery" for NYE and we absolutely loved it. Service was great and they really made the night feel special.

I cannot recommend this lovely B&B enough. The location is amazing -- a stone's throw, quite literally, from the Cathedral, with parking onsite for visitors. The rooms were clean, comfortable, well appointed, and really charming; ours has some beautiful old ceiling beams and antique touches. But hands down the most extraordinary aspect is the food and service. Not only did we stuff our faces on some of the most delicious salmon blinis in the history of the world, but the breakfast has to be eaten to be believed. The staff were also extraordinary; they clearly take great pride in their establishment, and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. For example -- my wife off-handedly mentioned she only eats fish. The next morning, the chef had kindly replaced the meat parts of her breakfast with a mushroom and cheese roll of great deliciousness. A perfect encapsulation of our experience here. Thank you.

Right on the heart of Ripon, with views of the cathedral, this 'Restaurant with rooms' is superb. All the the staff are warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, making for a relaxing fine dining experience atmosphere whilst maintaining an air of sophistication.
The food. WOW!! Chef Adam and his team work wonders to serve superb dishes that are as beautiful as they are delicious, each explained with some background to the locally sourced ingredients. The wine flight option pairs some fabulous wines to the courses, giving the meal another delicious twist.
Breakfast is equally brilliant, giving a twist on continental and traditional English.
The building is old and quirky, yet beautiful and unique. Staying there is comfortable and ideal for exploring the surrounding areas. ??

Lovely overnight stay here on way back home to Edinburgh. Great location and the staff were excellent. Mattress could have been a bit thicker but that's a personal thing and the internet a bit faster but these are minor items. Breakfast was unique and very tasty
