Our first time in Ripon and the One Eyed Rat had a cosy atmosphere thanks to the real fireplace. Quite busy by Saturday afternoon and a little chilly if you're further away from the fireplace, but all in all a lovely pub which is dog friendly.

Visited on 3/10 about 4.30pm, popped to Evensong at Cathedral, and then returned about 6.30pm. Great atmosphere. Great beer.

Just had drinks, decent choice of gins and real ales. Staff friendly and goid atmosphere. Clean, tidy and good seating arrangement indoors and outdoors

No food but can order a takeaway to have in the lovely beer garden. We had a morris dancer play bango which was entertaining.
