Went for a meal Saturday evening, bothe me and the Mrs had a sirlion steak which was cooked to perfection and tasted beautiful!Would highly recommend this place.The landlord is a bit of a fairy though

Great service and couldn't help enough. The evening food from the pub was great and had excellent options for all diets. At breakfast, there was a wide range. Rooms are clean and well presented. Called in for drinks Saturday night and found the landlord, staff and locals very friendly, great conversation which lead on a discussion about Sunday Roast.So it had to be we called in for Sunday lunch and it was superb, soup starter followed by a lamb roast cooked superbly.If you are ever in the area call in for at least a drink the place and people are brilliant.Thank you.Food & drinks: Superb drinks and excellent food.

Lovely market town traditional pub.Excellent service from the staff. We came in late from working, too late for dinner. Entered the bar with a takeaway, didn?t say a word, held it up. Barman, ?I?ll get you some plates?. Superb!

10/10 friendly staff lovley owners,we will be comming back, as for the full English breakfast i can honestly say its the best i have eaten in 40 years ?, see ya soon .? friendly ,dogs will love this place.

Food & drinks: Large portions so you will not go hungry. The food service was quick not so much at the bar. Queued quite a while for drinks as only one person serving. The pub and restaurant are immaculate kept and has a lovely garden.

The pluses.. the staff were all lovely and very accommodating, and the food is excellent. The bed was really comfortable & the room was clean. I think the minuses are beyond the control of the management/staff as the hotel really needs a refurb in that the stair carpet has holes in it and the ceiling paper in the dining room is falling off and the carpets need a good shampoo. One of our couples booked through buy a gift & the other on booking.com The buy a gift voucher did not show the mobile number (and we didn?t check the 2nd booking ) so we waited at the hotel for an hour before we could get in despite it stating we could get in at 2pm. We rang the hotel number but no answer. A good stay but the rooms are tired, but as I say staff are lovely.

What a find, Matthew , Emily and all the staff made us very welcome.We ate in the hotel on 3 nights of our stay and were so pleasantly surprised at the quality, quantity and price of the meals.The steaks were delicious as was the fish, both of which I would recommend.Although the hotel is getting on in years , the rooms are both comfortable and spotlessly clean.We hope to return in 2024 and enjoy their company again. THANKS

Great pub and hotel with very helpful staff. Rooms are in need of updating but clean and functional. Will stay again if working in the area.
