I do not recommend Calverts Carpet.
Unfortunately, both of my experiences with them were extremely disappointing. I had issues with two separate bathroom flooring installations. The first time, the floor was so poorly installed that I had to remove it in less than a year.
I decided to give them another chance and specifically requested that the floor be sealed properly this time. I paid for the service, but on the day of the scheduled installation, no one showed up. It had to be rescheduled, and in total, I waited six weeks. When the installer finally came, the job was very poorly done ? uneven cuts, everything crooked, and the sealing was so badly done that I could?ve done a better job myself.
I called Calverts to explain what happened, and the staff member I spoke to was extremely rude, barely let me speak, and told me that if I needed a new floor, I?d have to deal with the installer directly ? even though I hired Calverts, not the individual.
I will not be using their services again.

Terrible service. We have called and emailed after our flooring was fitted last week. It has been left unfinished (no door plate). The flooring has bubbles clearly visible, we were initially told it would settle overnight. Called next day to say it hadn?t, then told 3-4 days - a week later and it still looks awful. No response. A great shame as we would have definitely gone back for carpets in other rooms but it is just not worth it for such a terrible finish. Wish we had never come across them or at least read some similar previous reviews.

We were initially pleased with the service from Calvert?s but unfortunately now we would not recommend at all. The fitters damaged our newly renovated solid oak balustrade and left without saying anything. When I called to report the damage I was told that the fitters would come out later that week to have a look. I arranged to work from home especially and they didn?t turn up. We were then promised on multiple occasions that the fitters would come the following week so again I arranged to work from home and they didn?t turn up yet again. We received no communication to inform us that they wouldn?t be coming and I have had radio silence from Calvert?s since. Calvert?s haven?t even offered any kind of resolution or compensation for this. We will now have to fork out to have our stairs repaired. Would not recommend this company at all, once they have your money they do not care to fix any issues.

After nearly a year and a half of searching for the right carpet, visiting various carpet retailers, we returned to Calverts in Ripon and purchased carpets for four rooms and long corridor. The carpets have been fitted and are of excellent quality, the price has been significantly lower than other retailers. Very good and patient service from Calverts in Ripon and Niall the carpet fitter, our thanks.

If your looking for customer service and after care do not spend your money here!! I spent over £1000 on wood flooring, yes its been down nearly 2 years but gaps have appeared between the boards, went in to ask if they would sort it and one member of staff said, we won't be doing anything about it, and then was told, as they laughed, its been down nearly 2 years! Oh i see, is that as long as it is supposed to last??? They cocked up laying it first time by not putting underlay under the hall area because they were to keen to get finished.
Terrible after care service, once they have your money they don't give a toss!

Graham in the shop was very friendly and helpful. The carpet fitters arrived on time,They fitted the carpet very quickly, it looks perfect. Very reasonable price would definitely recommend.
